vastley better then last year, but the base last year was terrible.
Tackles are the problem. IOL is average-ish
Projected ranking around 26th in 2017 from the future eye test.
If Cook cooks maybe the official ranking is higher

I need a translation from CM to English.

While the line isn't fantastic, I think the improvements over last year will be noted and seen pretty early on. We have added guys who are more known for their ability in the run game, and guys who can stay healthy. That, coupled with an offense less predicated on 5-7 step drops and a hopefully improved ground attack should hopefully equate to a more balanced offense that ends up closer to average in the league. An average offense can be burning, but coupled with an excellent defense, you have the workings of a playoff team.

I'm usually pretty optimistic, and I won't lie and say that I'm not optimistic concerning this years line. The tackles aren't stellar, but they are better than last year. The interior group has guys who have another year of cohesion and growth along with some fresh blood with upside. If they can creat some holes for our run game, the weight gets lifted in the passing game, and they can be successful with being average.

i'm not seeing anyone say that.

our line was horrid last year, 32nd out of 32 teams. being a little bit better means were still atrocious.

Yeah, I never said the offense would be phenomenal. If you took that out of the comment, you need to take a step back and read more carefully. The offense will be good enough....not great. It doesn't need to be great.

The offense scores 2 more FG's last year (Det., Dal.) and 2 more TD's (Det., Wash.) and we are 12-4. Our OL is certainly improved enough to give us that much of a scoring improvement this season.

I still think the OL needs a quality LT and top 10ish caliber OG to be an above average unit. Maybe we can get there with another offseason.

Don't be so sensitive, sir. Yeesh.

T.J. Clemmings played some right guard at #Vikings OTAs today.

The line will be really, really bad! But that means they will still be better than last years line who was really, really, really, really bad. In short, they will be 50% less really bad!! Laughing

I'm all for Clemmings trying to play guard. At least that means he isn't playing tackle.

I'm hoping he plays right bench until he fixes his technique.

I think Clemmings is a very good athlete, but an absolute mess of a technician. He might have been the worst starter in the league (I know PFF ranked him super low).

Whether its at guard or tackle, he needs all the help he can get

Clemmings still has practice squad eligibility (up to four players on the PS can have two accrued seasons), so keep that in mind. Unfortunately, the Vikings are thin at backup OT, so I don't see him either moving to guard yet, nor being waived and signed to the PS. Unless the Vikings see Hill as the first backup at LT and Sirles to be the backup at RT, or (somehow) Aviante Collins or Willie Beavers ahead of Clemmings, I think Clemmings will be on the roster.
