Prepare for some more weak tweets heavily influenced by the Bears PR department.

But day for him.

Breakdown of today's OTA was on Bearreport....

Basically the defense was dominant today... multiple PBUs and 3x INTS (Prince, Houston-Carson, and Amos) Report said that basically every 50/50 ball came down in the defense's favor

Glennon and Trubisky both struggled... late/offtarget throws

Shaheen-TE has been the best receiver pretty consistently getting open.

Bullard-DE apparently was playing well

Meredith-WR struggled today

The FB kid missed a block badly.

Gentry-WR apparently did well

As did Acho, who got a ton of reps with other OLB sitting out.

Finally, an unrelated bit of interesting news:

PFF rated our roster as the best overall roster in the NFC North right now. Basically we won the title on average, because despite lacking super highly rated superstars, we are also lacking in any complete liability low rated players currently, and our depth chart is actually pretty competitive with our starters.

It kind of mirrors what I've been thinking about this offseason in general...... We're going to be a surprise team this year...... No chance of winning the big game, and hell even making playoffs would be a big stretch, but I think our depth has us in an entirely different position than we where in last year depth wise, for example... Even if our "starting" lineup isn't significantly better.

Tuesday began with the Bears announcing that quarterback Connor Shaw was being waived to make room on the roster for wide receiver Victor Cruz. It will end with Shaw still on the teamís roster. The Bears announced on Tuesday afternoon that they have rescinded their earlier move involving the quarterback and waived wide receiver Jhajuan Seales.

The reason for the shift was a need for a healthy quarterback for the rest of the offseason program. Mark Sanchez injured his knee during the teamís OTA practice on Tuesday and, per multiple reports, will be out for the rest of OTAs and Juneís mandatory minicamp.

All of this lends credence to Pace working toward BPA drafting. No glaring weaknesses and ok depth at almost every position.
