At offseason testing earlier this week -- vertical jump, a three-cone drill, bench press, a 20-yard sprint and flexibility -- Prescott’s numbers improved from his rookie year in every category.

Quote:
“I don’t look at what’s behind me,” Prescott said. “I look at where I want to go and what I can do. The only way I know is through hard work, so it’s just something that I continue to try to do.”

FRISCO -- Charles Tapper's energy level has been so high during the first week of organized team activities that members of the coaching staff have told him to turn it down a notch.

"I'm at full-throttle, full-go," Tapper said Wednesday, "so I'm out there going 110 [miles per hour] and they're like, 'Tap, you might want to slow it down and just go 100. Don't be on the ground, diving and everything.' I'm trying to tone it down a little bit now."

I guess this makes sense. A full year in an NFL weight room will do that for you, I would think.

Hopeful Tapper can be a surprise for us this year.

Very interested to see what happens. Between the sickle cell trait and back issues, I'm in wait and see mode.

But as an athlete, he's worth being excited about. We talk about his 40 time because of how freakish it was for a guy his size, but he's also has longer arms than Taco.

BENCH PRESS: 25 REPS
VERTICAL JUMP: 33.0 INCH
BROAD JUMP: 116.0 INCH
3 CONE DRILL: 7.17 SEC
20 YARD SHUTTLE: 4.39 SEC

Tapper
HT: 6'3" WT: 271LBS.

He had what 7 sacks? ...playing as a 5 tech his senior year... His speed, explosiveness, length, and size should translate well to the edge.

Wouldn't it be funny if Tapper had a tiny unit. Peeing and taking care of himself an impossible task.
