Assume everything around them is normalized. Which offensive Trio would you take.

Tom Brady
Barry Sanders
Terrell Owens

Peyton Manning
Jim Brown
Jerry Rice

Joe Montana
Walter Payton
Randy Moss

Bonus: Why?

The 2nd group, pretty easily. Top 3 QB of all time, Arguably GOAT RB, and the GOAT Football player of all time in Rice.

Pretty tough one, but probably A. Sanders IMO is the best RB of all time, Brady is probably the GOAT, and Owens and Brady would be disgusting together. I mean....all of these QB/WR pairings would be lethal together, so it really comes down to RB for me.

I wouldnt knock anyone for taking any of these groups, though.

i dont think the rb's really matter that much in these choices... it's the qb/wr combo that's going to win you games in the 4th. i trust owens the least of any of the 6 players, so that rules out A.

i dont think montana and moss make for a good fit. i'll go with manning/rice... given how meticulous manning was in preparation/precision, he and rice would be made for each other

Group B please.

Peyton Manning was a top tier quarterback and he could slice and dice any defense.

Brown is arguably the greatest RB of all time. He set the bar for greatness when it comes to running the ball and he, until this day, is still the measurement (numbers wise) for greatness when it comes to running backs.

Jerry Rice is the greatest football player off all time.

B all the way.

Manning with Rice would not be fair for the rest of the league. Throwing in Brown on top of it cements it.

I'm not even sure if Montana and Moss would work that well anyway. Classic Ohio River offense QB with the best deep route runner of all time isn't a match.

Yeah the Problem was I basically did it like this.

1. Brady
2. Montana
3. Manning

1. Rice
2. Moss
3. Owens

1. Brown
2. Sanders
3. Payton

(Agree to disagree)

And I wanted to have a #1, a #2 and a # 3 on each team. The first team got it. The third team was the issue because I didn't think it made sense to do Montana and Roce together. And I didn't want to do Brady and Moss the other way. So team B ended up being 3, 1, 1. And team B ended up being 2, 2, 3.

That way I could kinda see what positional group had the biggest perceived gap in talent from the top guy. I kinda figured it would be Rice at WR. But throwing Brown on the same team screwed it up. But I thought that was more fair that giving Montana Rice or Brady Moss and having one group have a real sample size attached to it.

So then I guess the follow up would be something between Rice and Brown.

The 2nd group. Manning plus the best RB and WR ever.

I think the QBs are a wash. I think that Sanders is the best RB but the difference between Sanders and Brown is a little less than the difference between TO and Rice, so B it is.

If Owens was swapped for Fitzgerald or somethin, I'd look a lot harder at Group A

The problem with QB's is you are valuing intangibles to pick one over the other imo. The WR's imo have the biggest gulf in that I think everyone would value Rice far more than Owens but I could see some people valuing Moss very close to either Rice or Owens depending on your thought process. And the RB's are all close and I can see fans voting based on who and when they watched.

All amazing, but I went with #2 because I could see that group rarely not converting first downs on every drive.
