The idea was scrapped when the Carson and Inglewood stadium projects were pitched by the NFL teams looking to move, eliminating a need for a 3rd party stadium.

Because it does rain here believe it or not. And I'm assuming LA will become one of the most popular places to host a SB, and I doubt they want it raining on the game/halftime shows. Plus it can also be unbearably hot here in September/October, especially if you are inland.


Or in the valley. It gets swelteringly hot there, especially on the west side.

Interesting news, I think building a dome is a good idea for any team.

Update: Tampa Bay will host Super Bowl LV instead of Los Angeles. LA will instead host Super Bowl LVI.
