Dang well now you have me hyped for him lol. He's still coming back from injury so unfortunately he'll be out for Summer League. Sad

But right now he's our 4th PF behind Chriss, Bender and Dudley so he's gonna have to ball out in preseason if he wants to make this team imo.

Not only that but with Blake Griffin and Paul Milsap visiting, it can only get tougher for him. He seems like the kind of player though that might tear it up in Prescott for us though.

He kind of sounds like he comes out of a Doug McDermott mold tbh

What do you guys think of the Blake Griffin and Paul Millsap rumors?

I'd personally be down for Blake but I can see why some Suns fans wouldn't want him. At least Blake is only 28 and we get him for his prime.

I'm 100% out on Millsap and would hate to max him out. Just doesn't make sense.

Yeah Millsap just doesn't seem to fit with this squad. He's a great player but I'd personally rather just roll with Chriss as the starter at the 4

I'd be so down for Blake. Him and Bledsoe reportedly have the chemistry already. Plus I really couldn't think of a better player for Chriss to model his game around.

At this point with Griffin back to LA, unless Millsap were to agree to a 2 year deal (he won't) we should just bring back Alan Williams and be done with FA.

Bledsoe | Ulis
Booker | Knight | Reed
Jackson | Warren | Jones Jr
Chriss | Bender | Dudley
Chandler | Williams

Thoughts on the team through 2 summer league games?

- Mike James looks like a decent scorer, but not really a PG. Still, better than having Ronnie Price as our 15th man.
- Davon Reed looks like he's going to be a nice contributor. His shot wasn't falling today but I like what I see.
- Josh Jackson looks as advertised. He's forcing some things offensively but he kind of has to in this setting without a true PG on the roster. His defense has been good and his decision making has also been good.
- Dragan Bender has been below average to okay, we really haven't seen him with the ball too often making plays or posted up down low which is where I want to see him some. Would like to see him play more aggressively too.
- Marquese Chriss has been flat out bad and looks like he doesn't want to be playing in summer league.

Oh and we just re-signed Alan Williams Cool

Restricted free agent Alan Williams has agreed to a three-year, $17M deal to stay with the Phoenix Suns, league sources tell The Vertical.

Not bad at all.

I would characterize myself as a Suns fan with the inclusion of Davon Reed on the squad.

He looks good so far man. Hopefully we can eventually get rid of Knight and make Reed the full time backup to Booker.

He's a likeable player. Very good defender and a decent shooter. He has a way to go on the offense end, but I think he can develop into a decent NBA role player.

As the roster currently stands (I know it won't, we're bound to deal someone), this would be my minute breakdown.

PG Bledsoe (33) | Ulis (15) | James (0)
SG Booker (36) | Reed (12) | Knight (0)
SF Jackson (34) | Warren (14) | Jones Jr (0)
PF Chriss (18) | Bender (18) | Warren (12) | Dudley (0)
C Chandler (12) | Williams (20) | Chriss (12) | Bender (4)

Booker 36
Jackson 34
Bledsoe 33
Chriss 30
Warren 26
Bender 22
Williams 20
Ulis 15
Reed 12
Chandler 12
Knight/Dudley/Jones Jr/James play in blowouts

per the Twitters Josh Jackson is staying with #99 until #11 becomes available.

Hopefully it becomes available sooner rather than later. Even though I kinda do like #99 on JJ.

Cut down Booker's, Chriss', and Josh's minutes and give them to Knight and Dudley. Knight and Dudley are definitely going to play early in the season. That's realistic even if its not preferable.

Booker played 35 mpg last year. How much am I going to cut it down to?

I could see us giving Reed's minutes to Knight, but if Knight sucks it up we won't hesitate to bring Reed in IMO. Earl Watson has his faults, but he's not dumb.

Jackson is going to play big minutes. Maybe not 34, but at least 28-30+ right away.

Chriss played 27 mpg after the All Star Break. How much are you going to cut his minutes by?

I also think Dudley is going to play, but remember he just had surgery and is out until October. It could take him awhile before he's in "basketball shape". On the other hand, where is he going to play? Surely we aren't benching Bender again...
