I think we made the right call. Now, if they'd been willing to throw in next years number 2.. I could talk Turkey !

Don't know why you linked that other thread. This trade offer has nothing to do with Kirk Cousins.

Like RSkinGM said, if they were willing to sweeten the pot with a second rounder next year, we may have been faced with a tough decision. However I am happy they chose to draft Allen, who will be terrorizing our NFC East rivals for years to come.

Hypothetically we may have been able to draft Foster at SF's 2nd round pick though, and I wouldn't have been opposed to that either.

To move that far back you need to come with something much better than that.

Yup. Especially with the defensive talent still on the board. I would've asked for this year's 2 and next year's 1

Exactly what I was thinking. Missing out on Allen would've only made sense had we got their first next year and even then sometimes it's just not worth it. We looked the gift horse in the mouth when Leonard Williams fell to us, I'm extremely happy the team learned from that lesson.

Sometimes the best things are the things you don't do

True in this case. Allen was a top 5 pick for the whole last year.

My bad, I assumed and I should have. I'd rather have what we have also.

Allen did a good job staying put and getting Allen. I love this! It's going to terrorize this fan base for decades! One Allen everyone loves, one everyone hates! Laughing
