Incredible! Once in a lifetime opportunity, I'm extremely jealous. Thanks for taking time and letting us know about your experience.

Thats pretty incredible!

I dont know how I would be able to refrain from asking

1) What does Peppers do that makes you comfortable passing on Hooker?
2) What was your reasoning to pass on Reuben Foster 2x when he was wildly considered a top 5 player in the draft?
3) This was perhaps the deepest/best CB draft ever--being that cornerback is perhaps the weakest position group, how do you justify passing on a potential immediate starter in the 2nd and 3rd rounds (Awuzie) for guys like Kizer/Larry who you admit need redshirt seasons?

Anyways--sounds like a blast and Im just thinking of all the things I would ask if I had an hour with Andrew Berry hahaha

I don't think number 2 is much of a mystery.

Failed drug test/s, possible medical issues (shoulder/concussions) and general dipsht behavior at the combine raises more than a couple flags.

In this case the risk was just too high.

I don't think anyone doubts the player, just the person, his judgement and his health.

Seemed like a pretty lame experience, I'm glad I was working instead of being there.

Wasn't it reported that Foster is kind of a slow learner? Given the off the field concerns, I can easily understand it. I mean hell, look at every other team that passed on him.

Im purely speculating, but if they want a bell cow then Bo Scarbrough fits the description. He's not going to be banged up like Fournette either.

I love Scarbrough, but he seems like he's almost always dinged.

I'd rather have Barkley by a lot, but he won't be there after the Top 5 (assuming he's not hurt).

Wow can't believe I completely forgot that he was injured in that game.

Lol to some of these post I'll try to answer as many as I can because there is so much we talked about in that hour or so. I tried to ask as many questions as possible to relay to you guys.

1) because they really like the role of Peppers. They have no concerns at all for how they'll use him. Our defense is one of the few where his skill set is actually an extremely valuable role. Honestly it's probably the second most valuable role in Williams defense if he can get the right guy. Williams likes to blitz a lot and create havoc. So that'll be more consistently impactful than people. Think. Along with the first because we didn't have Kizer at the time we needed to hedge our bets for next year. Again they are really excited for next year if you haven't seen the collection of picks.

2) because Williams only uses two linebackers basically on a consistent basis so Foster didn't present the value that Njocku and Peppers did.

3) because they liked the players more. Again they never thought Kizer would be there at 52 so it became a value pick. And they are really excited for Larry O. It's a long term process and the next pick they made sure they got a corner they really liked. Every pick was thought out and they've got a specific role for that player. Every pick is intentional with them. We target guys which is why we moved up 3 times for Njocku Howard and Roderick they know who they like and where they want to take them.

Nice job brownie man!! Happy for you. Did berry by any chance hear a loud thump under the table when he mentioned Kizer?

Lmao somewhat. I mean as you guys would guess I let him know he was one of my favorite prospects and by far my favorite QB.

He basically agrees with the ceiling, but they really take the bad football Kizer played seriously. More seriously than I thought

But it always came back to improving his consistently. Even he said. If Hue is the QB coach we think he is and if Kizer can take to the coaching the sky is the limit. And I think everyone on here should see it the same way.

I still can't believe I know this stuff lol I wish everyone could've been there when I say we had a ball it was awesome really.
