Mknight, Ryan Kalis was an interior lineman at Michigan. He's not very athletic or anything but he's a solid blocker. I don't think he'll make the team, but practice squad is possible for him.

Also, Chris Carter was drafted out of Fresno State by Pittsburgh in 2011 to be a 3-4 OLB, he didn't do much there for 3 years and then got hurt and eventually they cut him. He's bounced around the league ever since Pitt cut him. I don't think he has much of a shoot of making the roster because we'll keep the guys we've drafted over him unless he really, really impresses this offseason and preseason, which I doubt.

I hear you but he is such a stud in the slot that I think we keep him there. We have plenty of speed on the outside to take the top off if needed.

The OP forgot to add Ioannidis in the roster and I feel this guy will not only make the team but will be an important piece in the rotation in the OL.

Marshall will need to show he is fully healthy. Some of you guys say he can't catch as well as Thompson. Totally wrong in college he showed great catching ability before he got hurt. I see him as a PS player to start along with Brown. But don't be surprised if he doesn't play a role later in the season.

Roullier played 3 years at guard before this season, so he'd likely back up both guard and center going into the season wouldn't he?

I would think so. Also Kouandjio should be able to backup either Guard spot. And even on top of that we have played Trent Williams at Guard with Ty Nsekhe coming in at LT before and that worked pretty well too.

We usually run 3 WR sets so even though he's just "a slot guy" he'll be on the field almost every snap. It depends on what Doctson does IMO. If Doctson has a good training camp and preseason he would have earned that #2 outside role in the Garçon aka split end spot. I think Pryor will play Djax's role, or the flanker. If Doctson doesn't play well enough to earn a starting job I could see Pryor playing the Garçon/split end role and Crowder taking over for Djax as the flanker. Of course, I could also see Crowder taking over Garçon instead of being a split end because Crowder is more quicks than elite speed and Pryor is more long range speed than quicks.

Obviously there's a lot to work out with this wr core but I expect wel get the answers fairly quickly this offseason on where they'll all play.

One Big I don't want to see happen is what happened to Randle El (ARE). We signed Randle El to be our slot guy and punt returner in 06 and traded for Lloyd so he'd be the#2 opposite Moss, but Gibbs quickly soured on Lloyd mostly I believe because of his lack of work ethic and practice issues so, ARE was pushed into playing on the outside and it was never a great for him.

Crowder is a lot like ARE, sure, he could play outside but he's best in the slot and if we can do anything to make sure he stays in the slot, that will be better overall for our entire offense.

I seriously doubt we carry 6 safeties and only 8 linebackers. Spaight or Houston Bates likely will make the roster IMO. Maybe both with Harvey-Clemons going to the PS.

I've been going back and forth on who will play NT in this defense.

I have seen no definitive answers anywhere on this.

Do you believe as I do, that McClain may be used because he's a quick guy and in our scheme we can use a quick guy as a shade/1-gap NT to get quick penetration in the backfield.

Then, McGee will be the two gaping DE and Allen will be the main pass rusher of the 3?

So Allen will play Baker role in our defense while McGee plays the Hatcher/RJF role on the other side and two gaps next to the SOLB.

Frankly, it's bothering me that there's been no reporting on this. I really want to know where the 3 are going to play and what position Hood, Ioannidis, Lanier and Taylor will be playing as well. Right now, everyone seems to be just guessing.

Yeah, I agree I think Spaight makes it. I also think there's a possibility of Hall moving to the slot corner spot instead of being a S this year. This is of course if Fuller or Breeland don't prove that they can handle the slot position early in in camp.

I think JHC & Hosely are probably going up be PS players.

My thought behind it is a safety is cut for Murphy.

Can't see us carrying 4 TEs, Carrier is probably bone. Also Spaight or Houston Bates one or the other makes this team.

I'm not sure that will happen. Murphy can be moved around along the front 7 and rush where he'd have a favorable match up.

?

I'm not saying Murph will be cut, I am saying that when he comes back, they'd probably drop the worst safety for him in my situation.

I think Mart wins the NT job and that Kelly isn't going to start . Also predict Breeland not starting over in favor of Dunbar or our third round rookie corner .

Side not we should kick the tires on Daryl Washington and see what he can bring to the table .

Wonder how set on OLB the Skins are for Ryan Anderson...could see him transition into a 3-4 strongside LB similar to CJ Mosely of the Ravens.
