While Floyd isn’t crazy about the idea of helping out with diaper changes for Rudolph’s twin daughters, he’s otherwise happy to be home after bouncing from being released by the Cardinals to a stint with the Patriots last season.

Floyd: “Everything I’ve been through was eye-opening. The stuff that you go through, positive or negative, grows you as a person. I couldn’t be in a better position right now.”

Two former Notre Dame teammates are helping wide receiver Michael Floyd feel comfortable with the Vikings. When the St. Paul native was signed May 10, he was reunited with tight end Kyle Rudolph and safety Harrison Smith.

Rudolph: “We’re all going to make mistakes. I’m not perfect. He’s not perfect. No one is. It’s just a matter of what do you have to do to learn your lesson and you have to realize that we’re so fortunate to have these opportunities.’’

Smith: “I love playing with Mike. I’m glad we got him. I think he can be a big-time player for us. I know all the things that he can do.”

Bradford: “Mike’s done a great job,. He’s a big body. Just watching the way that he’s used his body in a couple of our practices, it’s been nice to see him just kind of be a physical presence. Regardless of if a guy is on him, he’s able to kind of fight through that and make some contested catches.’’

The #Vikings would not take a salary cap hit if they parted ways with Michael Floyd. He has no guaranteed money in his one-year contract.

I'd say I'm surprised, but I'm not.

The only source is TMZ. I would be shocked if it was true.

Without Floyd, that might make a lot more sense. Replace one experienced Minnesotan for another one. Hmmm...

Well, here is another "reliable source" reporting that Floyd is denying the claims made that he tested positive.

Statement from his agent:

About all he can do is claim he didn't know there was any alcohol in the tea. The problem is that we've all been through that with the Starcaps situation with the Williams twins. Sad

Do you guys think there is any way for the team to keep him on if he has to serve any jail time?

No.

That's pretty much what I thought too. Rolling Eyes

Time for Laquon Treadwell to get his chance. I've had high hopes for him coming into this season anyway.
