The 2018 Draft is shaping up to be the Best QB draft class of all time.

Currently there are 10 QB's with a potential 1st round grade.

Here are the Potential 1st Round QB prospects for the 2018 Draft Class.

1. Sam Darnold - USC
2. Josh Rosen - UCLA
3. Lamar Jackson - Louisville
4. Josh Allen - Wyoming
5. Luke Falk - Washington St.
6. Baker Mayfield - Oklahoma
7. Jarrett Stidham - Auburn
8. Jake Browning - Washington
9. Max Browne - Pittsburgh
10. Mason Rudolph - Oklahoma St.

These are the TEAMS that "could" be looking QB next off-season...

1. New York Jets
2. Cleveland Browns
3. Jacksonville Jaguars
4. Buffalo Bills
5. L.A. Chargers
6. San Francisco 49ers
7. Washington Redskins
8. Arizona Cardinals
9. New Orleans Saints
10. Pittsburgh Steelers

Questions...

1. How many QB's do you think will drafted in the 1st round of 2018?
2. How would you rank these QB's?
3. What Round Grade would you give each QB?
4. Which QB has the highest Upside?
5. Which QB would fit a particular team the best?
6. Which QB is this years Brad Kaaya?
7. Which QB is this years Mitch Trubisky?

Also, please feel free to include your own pick not included in the list above... It seems that in recent years there is has been a One Year Wonder that comes out of nowhere to shoot up the rankings...like Carson Wentz and Mitch Trubisky.

Out of these QB's, my favorite prospects are Jarrett Stidham and Sam Darnold, but I think there is a high probability that Sam Darnold returns to school for another year. The stench of Mark Sanchez leaving USC early has still not worn off.

He is a tall QB (6'5") with a rocket arm and will be playing in a pro-style offense with Pitt.

We all know that NFL scouts LOVE QB's that have proven they can take snaps under center.

Sure, he will need to be coached up and improve his accuracy... but a lot of teams will love his body size and potential.

As a former 5 Star Recruit, who beat out Sam Darnold for the starting job in USC. Only to lose that job after 2 disastrous games, albeit against Alabama and Stanford (two of the best defenses in college)

... its hard to keep him off this list.

I guess that's true. He's got some tools for sure. He just looked so so bad at times last year it's hard to imagine him looking like a first round pick in a year.

There are a few strikes against Baker Mayfield, his off the field issues and lack of maturity being a huge red flag...and the fact that he's only 6'1 with an Average NFL Arm Strength...

However, he did lead the nation in...

1) Passing Efficiency (197.80)
2) Avg. Yards per pass (11.1)
3) and Completion Percentage (71.2%)
4) Plus he has lead the Sooners to Back-to-Back Big 12 Titles.

1. How many QB's do you think will drafted in the 1st round of 2018?

Tough to say without seeing the season play out as QB stock can sometimes fluctuate dramatically, and especially considering a lot of these guys are underclassmen.

Top Upperclassmen:
Baker Mayfield
Luke Falk
Mason Rudolph

Top Underclassment:
Sam Darnold
Josh Rosen
Josh Allen
Lamar Jackson
Jake Browning
Wilton Speight

Let's say half of the underclassmen return. I'll go with Darnold and Speight since they're redshirt sophomores and Browning as the returnees. That means you have:

Rosen
Jackson
Allen
Mayfield
Falk
Rudolph

Out of this group, I see Rosen, Jackson and Allen going in the first round.

Quote:
2. How would you rank these QB's?

I'd want to watch some of these guys again by I currently have Sam Darnold first, with either Jackson or Allen at the 2 and 3.

I feel like the stock for Mayfield, Falk and Rudolph is sort of maxed out at this point as I don't see them doing any else in college that'd make me rethink what they can be at the next level at this point. But we'll see.

Quote:
3. What Round Grade would you give each QB?

Until further review Sam Darnold is the only one I'm comfortably giving a first round grade on.

Quote:
4. Which QB has the highest Upside?

The easy answer here is Lamar Jackson just by his physical prowess, but so much of QB upside is from an intangibles standpoint and how quickly they can process and decipher information, so I'd still go Darnold here. Josh Allen might be a dark horse in this category as well.

Quote:
5. Which QB would fit a particular team the best?

I feel like Lamar Jackson would fit in Hue Jackson's offense pretty well, but they just took DeShone Kizer whom I also feel is a good fit for that offense, so we'll see how this year shapes up.

Quote:
6. Which QB is this years Brad Kaaya?

Do you mean which of these QBs is going to drop? Tough to say. Maybe Jake Browning if he declares just because I can see how NFL team might shy away from his arm big time.

Quote:
7. Which QB is this years Mitch Trubisky?

Josh Allen.

Pretty bold statement to make this early. Half of those guys are probably going back to school.

Yeah, that is bold. I actually see the possibility for next year's class to be pretty bad to average.

Yea, that off the field incident from Mayfield was really horrifying. Except for the fact that guys who beat the [inappropriate/removed] out of women, have and drug charges etc. are having no issue being drafted every year. No team is going to care that he got drunk and acted like an idiot. He's not a first rounder, but if you actually watch him play, you can see that he has a chance to play at the next level.
