This is a poor post, but I think it's an interesting subject to talk about.

I'm crazy excited to see what shakes out this year. The thought of AB, Bryant, JuJu, Bell, and whomever makes it out of the Hunter, Coates, DHB, Rogers, Hamilton scrum is amazing. Plus throw in the potential of getting anything from Green, an improved James and Grimble... ridiculous.

not to say that you are saying Rogers won't make the team, but I would put a looooot of money that he's making the team

Marcus Tucker and Canaan Severin say hello. Some one will be traded. We have too much skill here. Yes they all can't win individually but that makes it even better ask Brady.

My guess is

AB
Bryant
Eli
JuJu
Hunter
Coates - I see him as a cheaper, younger DHB with potential. Maybe he becomes a stud WR, maybe he's a Kassim Osgood style core special teamer.

Most likely Ayers on the PS. Maybe another stashed with him.

I'm not sure people will trade with us. They'll just wait for us to cut one or two or poach someone from our PS.

Glad they continue to improve this WR Corp! Rolling Eyes

Steelers have drafted a WR in the Top 4 rounds 6 out of the last 9 years

2009- Wallace
2010- Sanders
2013- Wheaton
2014-Bryant
2015- Coates
2017- JuJu

Just to let you all know if the season started today, our 4th corner would be Coty Sensabaugh

Also, I think this is a good idea. Why if we just started a thread for offense, one for defense, ditto for Special teams. Just hold all major discussions there. It made tidy up the forum. Just spit balling.

I've been thinking about this long and hard and came up with a few things:
1 - I think Hunter was a place holder for Bryant.
2 - Could Coats end up on IR with the hand issues?
3 - Ayers and Eli about to have a nasty camp battle.
4 - Ditto for Hunter, Coates, Bryant, DHB. 4 guys 2 spots.

So here we go, 6 WR's likely carried (based on history). Bolded are the keepers.

Antonio Brown - Duh.
Martavis Bryant - Very very short leash, but he makes our offense so good we have to keep him.
Juju Smith-Schuester - Rookie 2nd round picks don't get cut. And he's different from the first two.
Eli Rogers - Yup. I got him on the outside looking in. I think he's a dime a dozen WR.
Demarcus Ayers - Keeper? Yup. He's our new slot. Why him over Eli? Offers similar skill and potential production out of the slot but can also return kick and punts.
Cobi Hamilton - It's clear Juju was meant to be an upgrade here.
Darius Heyward-Bey - Sorry, you got outplayed by a younger version last year even though he had .5 hands
Sammie Coates - Big play ability, coming off injury, return ability, and special teams ace. As a 5th you could do worse.
Justin Hunter - Only because he's cheaper than DHB even though he's a carbon copy.

So I land with Brown, Bryant, Ayers, Smith-Schuester, Coates, Hunter. And I like that. Outside of Ayers and Smith-Schuester they have all played the role of a #1 or #2 WR at some point, and those other two were the #1 or #2 WR in college so they at least know what it's like to be the guy.

Hahahahaha.

Jones' only chance is to go to Tenn. Otherwise he is flipping burgers this fall.

I'll be surprised if they make a 53 this year coming out of camp. Not just ours but any.

I think our corner situation isn't nearly as dire as some make it out. I think Cockrell is going to play a lot better this year. Year 3 in the system and he's improved every year. Add an improved Artie, Gay being a seat warmer for Sutton, who will take over midway, or a finally healthy Senquez, hyper potential of Allen. Also, maybe an improved pass rush helps greatly. I do wish we could have improved over Mitchell, though.

Sorry about the off topic novel. I'm just really excited for this class.
