While I would be surprised to see them all stick after Rookie camp it tells me a bit about how they see the back end of the WR depth chart. Wilson, DAT, Robinson are going to be challenged! |
Also a sign to Maclin... slide a couple on PS. He needs to produce more this year. _________________

Quite some movement today after Rookie Camp:
Quote: |
Matt Derrick @mattderrick
#Chiefs sign 6 tryouts: DL Ricky Ali'fua, TE Emanuel Byrd, CB Stanley Jean-Baptiste, P Will Monday, RB Devine Redding, WR Jamari Staples. |
Quote: | Matt Derrick @mattderrick
The team also waived veteran RB Darrin Reaves, CB Vernon Harris, DL Cory Johnson, FB Will Ratelle & RB Kelvin Taylor. |

The team also waived undrafted free agent WR Anas Hasic and TE Wyatt Houston. |

Said it was medical release. He could be back if no one else gives him a shot and we don't like any of the young guys.
Emanuel Byrd could be getting some looks at FB, possible cheap replacement for Sherman next year. _________________

Read a little bit about Jean-Baptiste.
2nd rounder in 2014 (Saints).
Played a total of 4 games, 8 snaps.
Pretty big press corner.
on and of training camps/practice squads.
Already 27 years old.
Not sure what went wrong in the pre-draft evaluation, so a huge bust. Would be surprised if he now finds a way to get it.

Turns 28 next week. He could be a safety with his size. The Saints thought they were drafting Richard Sherman and got Pee Wee Herman.

My one reservation is that the Seahawks had him last year when they were desperate for safety play.

You mean the guys that let Parker walk, and haven't been able to make McCray and McDougald as good as they were with us???
I'm mostly joking, but we seem to be a little better about finding jems at safety and to a lesser extent CB. _________________

I give you this one. He may not have the type of alley dog mentality it takes to play in Seattle.
