I believe we can only fit one more UDFA on the roster. Entered the draft with 14 open slots and drafted nine guys.

Still no fourth QB or extra offensive lineman.

Not a bad UDFA. Almost a 4.8 40 and only 5'11" though.

Leamon is a good developmental type at OT.

As a Syracuse fan, I can tell you he's very exciting as a college player, but highly doubt he makes an NFL roster.

I was actually hoping we would draft Connor Harris. I didn't realize that he wasn't picked. I think he will make the team.

I like Dane Evans too. Obviously chances are he will never see the field for a single snap but he's a decent flyer. I think he would have been drafted if he were bigger.

I feel like every year we always have one relatively big name UDFA headliner and that guy almost always disappoints. Rontez Miles is probably the biggest success, but most go the way of Ryan Steed. Ryan Steed was supposed to be a fourth round guy who we got as a UDFA. Meanwhile, no one really cared about the DT we signed from William Penn that year named Damon Harrison.

Not sure what that means of Connor Harris. Laughing

Anyway, Xavier Coleman is pretty interesting. I think the strategy we'll have with him, Clark, and Jones that we had last year with Peake, Marshall, Anderson, and Worthy. Obviously, it would be crazy to respect the results to be as strong this time around, but it's an interesting strategy to just buy a bunch of talented but raw lottery tickets and hope a couple of them dig into their potential.

More UDFA guarantees: #Bears gave Freddie Stephenson $23K ($8,500 bonus/$14,500 base). #Jets gave Brisly Estime $15K ($5K bonus/$10K base).

That's a decent amount for an undrafted guy.

I find it so odd that Gabe Marks signed with us as an UDFA. With all the young talented WRs we have it's going to be hard for him to make the roster. I can't help but to think of the year we got Kerry Hyder as an UDFA. As a Tech alum I loved it but coming here that year was awful for him bc of the depth on the dline. FYI Hyderabad at 8 sacks last year on the interior for Detroit last season. I really see it being a Marshall vs Marks competition.
