I liked him a LOT more than I probably should have.

I think hes pretty easy to like. When the QB is under center Williams is Dynamic with his quick 1 cuts. Its easy to see him filling the Lacy roll of 7-12 yard runs from under center when the defense is selling out against the pass.

I kind of looked at him as the knock off version of Leonard Fournette. Not the most natural RB in our scheme, but as a pure runner he's very talented.

I haven't read the whole thread so don't know if anyone posted this highlight reel, but after watching I absolutely love this kid. I know highlight reels make every back seem like Apollo, but wow. Every carry is like a street fight for this kid. Not fast, but plenty fast enough through the hole, with moves in the open field, and when it's time to go down, he won't. Always seems to pick up an extra three to five yards while going down. He was a horse and plays with fire and aggression. Really really like this pick.

Still think that will go down as his only fumble (or like one of three) in his career, just crap timing...

For what it's worth this Vikings fan wishes we had taken Jamaal. I've watched a ton of tape on him and I really wanted my vikes to draft him. He has great vision and hits the hole hard. (That's what she said 😉) I'm guessing you cheeseheads will fall in love with him damnit!

Williams sat down for an hour and broke down film of himself with Matt Waldman. Pretty interesting getting his insight. Waldman also has an episode breaking down Aaron Jones.

Ryan Grant is a great comparison. No wasted steps. No wasted motion. Just all go. Breaks tackles. Falls forward. Perfect fit for an explosive passing game. Will keep the down and distance manageable because never goes backwards, always forward, and good at it. Should be great red zone back too. Like him a lot!!
