So...I love the player. He's got incredible talent.

But the dude is a headcase. Kicked out of one school...briefly retired...not the guy I'd look into.

Agreed. The player is REALLY good, but man you can't just overlook the other baggage.

LOL of course we picked a dude who retired prematurely.

Was Jammal Williams still available?

This is sort of the epitome of a C grade...I get the pick, don't love the pick, but understand and admit the upside in it. I worry that he won't work for it, which leaves him as a 2 down back unwilling to pass protect or pick up blitzes. Not as natural a receiving back either as some of the guys still on the board. But with the ball in his hands, it's there.

Actually, he's kind of like Dujuan Harris now that I think about it Laughing Not in style...but just that I'm always impressed with Harris with the ball in his hands it seems...but everything else just kinda isn't there. CAn't hold on to the football, not great in pass protection, etc.

His college career is one of the more unique roller coasters I've ever seen. But I think its important to note that he finished that career on a positive note. Coming out of "retirement" and having an unbelievable season. Then he participated in all the post season events like the senior bowl and combine and improved his stock.

He was going to get drafted so as long as we've met with him and know the type of person he is and where his head is at I'm good with this pick. His interviews he sounds well spoken and kinda mature which sounds weird but maybe all the pressure he's faced has turned him into a diamond in the rough.

He is. I don't mind Joe over Jamaal though.

I love this kid, one of my favorites in the draft. Ran for over 300 yards against a top 25 UCLA team. Has trouble catching the ball though. Great speed and can run between the tackles. Love the pick.

If this was the whole story, I think most of us would love the pick.

Yeah, after seeing the article I don't think the Red Flag is that of he's a quitter. The guy has clearly dealt with very severe depression.

That's still a red flag to me. As someone who suffers from severe depression, you have no idea how it will manifest on a day to day basis. It might not be a red flag in the sense that I fault him for it, but it's a red flag nonetheless.

He can catch better then given credit for the baggage is more bad things happening in his life and not having a strong family around him I'm assuming. I like the pick kids got real talent
