Lack of short area quickness... top 23% an top 15% in agility drills for his position.

I don't want to have to move Kendricks from MLB. If Gedeon can take over at OLB, I agree, good pick. If he's stuck behind Kendricks or forces Kendricks to have to change positions, not a big fan.

If he FORCES Kendricks to change positions, it's a great pick. Means he's worthy of seeing the field.

I think Kendricks is on the verge of becoming an all-pro at MLB. Wouldn't want to have to change, I prefer keeping familiarity on all downs.

I get that Kendricks would slide back inside in nickel, just not a fan of Kendricks making a position change in base. His range best suits him for the middle.

I'm not going to trash the player, but I feel they could have gotten a better player at 120 (If you've paid attention you know Siragusa is who I wanted) and still have gotten this kid later.

However I'm glad they're addressing the biggest weakness on defense, stopping the run.

Maybe.

So watching this kids cut-ups and yeah, he's going to be a big help in the run game.

Very intuitive player with great agility for his size which will help make up for speed deficiencies. Pick is growing on me even though I think I'd still have preferred Nico

Watching Zimmer, it sounds like he really wanted Gedeon.

Don't know much about the guy so I can't speak to him as a player, but why LB? OL is still such a huge need.

LB is as much of a need at this point. We did lose Greenway and Cole and didn't replace those bodies in free agency.

Was watching Pat Elflein's cut up against Michigan and this guy kept popping up. He made some very good players against an athletic team and his physical nature was evident.

He did over-pursue and get washed out on the game winning touchdown in overtime, but he looks like he could be a solid 2-down NFL backer.

Gedeon's rise really came after the senior bowl week. He impressed during the week and was a beast during the game with 9 tackles, 3 for a loss, and a forced fumble.

Then he went to the combine and killed it in every measurable besides long speed with the 40. But guess what, he's a MIKE, he's not going to be asked to run the seams with the jimmy grahams of the world. Long speed is nice, but short area explosion and strength are more important attributes.

Only starting 1 year because he was behind some other UM LBs and do what he did last year shows me he's still got some ability to coach up. He's way more athletic compared to Kentrell Brothers and might actually be able to push Kendricks to the outside if need be; unlike Kentrell who looks to be strictly a back up.

At first I wasn't all in, but I'm all in now. LB wasn't deep in this class (especially the mlb position), so i can see why the Vikings pulled the trigger on Gedeon where they did; given his production, senior bowl explosion and athletic testing numbers from the combine.

A player who is unknown to me.
For those who know the player, or watching a couple cut ups, how does he compare to Jaspher?

Would like to see he be our opening day 3rd LB beside Barr/Kendricks.

At that point in the draft, LB was a bigger need than OL.
