Inside the 49ers draft room. Thought it was a pretty cool article showing how the 49ers went about their draft.

I hate Peter King, but that article was good. Bears, oh, Bears...

I'm sure Brantley did have a couple other minor red flags, but those have nothing to do with this.

I wouldn't say "nothing". A guy like Conley who AFAIK was clean before his pre-draft incident versus a guy like Brantley who coaches supposedly was saying to stay away from I would be surprised if it didn't have an effect...

I'm assuming the Browns give zero shiz what other coaches think. We drafted Kizer and Brantley, two guys who coaches tried to burry their draft stock.

Really good story. Thanks for the link.

I don't think the Kizer situation was all that bad. Kelly was asked his thoughts and he answered. Nothing wrong with being honest. He doesn't owe Kizer anything. That said, they were apparently on good enough terms for him to accompany Kizer to the draft on Thursday night.

Who is this coach who said stay away from Brantley at all costs?

Cincy definitely uses internet draft boards. It's crazy how they pretty much always land one of the "top players available" as if they follow them closely to determine who they're selecting
You're trying to be a [inappropriate/removed], aren't you?

I don't like the pick. He's #5 on the depth chart at best

Unfamiliar with Stewart.

Stewart needs some time, but he's crazy athletic for a 330 lb'er.
Grover Stewart was a bad reach.

When do they get an Oreo

Is there someone nicknamed Oreo in this class? Because I'm down to Twitter bomb Jerruh to make it happen.
There is a Safety from Baylor named Orion

Browns are killing it. Howard Wilson is a perfect fit in GW's scheme. Brantley is good value this late.
Brantley is a head case for beating a woman right before the draft.

Well I would say the combination of adding three new (I would assume starting) offensive linemen including possibly the only legit left tackle prospect in the draft, Jake Butt and Carlos Henderson. I'm one of those people who thinks making drastic improvements to an offensive line can completely transform the quality of an offense overnight. Adding two quality receiving options like Henderson and Butt to Sanders and Thomas just sort of puts them over the top imo.

If the Broncos feel Paxton Lynch's time is now, I think the Broncos have done as good of a job as they possibly could have to surround him with the necessary talent for him to succeed.

It's a great risk vs reward.

They are risking nothing because it was just a 6th rd pick. If he gets cleared of it, they got a major talent for cheap. He was a fringe 2nd to 3rd type talent
If you have to cut a player that you already knew was a [inappropriate/removed], the pick is stupid and embarrassing. The idiot Browns just couldn't help themselves.

Maybe Sashi's and DePodesta's metrics directed them to draft a "concerning" guy, and then save face by admitting 5 seconds later that they might have to cut him. It's all in the numbers.
