Packers GM Ted Thompson has now used 13 of his last 18 day 1 and 2 picks on defense.

And people were convinced this was the year that TT was going to take an offensive skill position player in the first round.

More picks in the next two rounds than the first two days. Gotta figure pass-rushers are coming, right? Green Bay likes to field four. Only DL who really sees consistent playing time is Daniels. Either this team is going to look different schematically next year or we're going to rely on the athleticism of Kyler Fackrell and Jay Elliott a lot more this season. Mad

You'd have to think so from a numbers' standpoint. I mean, we're gonna carry what six OLBs? You've got Clay, Perry, Fackrell, and Elliott but behind that nobody is guaranteed a roster spot. That's likely two spots that go to UDFA if they don't draft anyone. I'd have to imagine they're drafting at least one more tomorrow.

Like King & Jones. They seem exciting.

Don't like Adams, but I'll be fine. But I did actually watch some stuff. So my opinion is very valid and should be valued heavily.

I wonder if a deal like our #61 and #93 for NO #76 and next years #42 was really in play.

Doubtful. Have to figure that the deal they ended up striking with San Francisco was what was really being offered.

I just think Fackrell and Elliott are roster bubble type of talents.

so for giggles:

3-4 Base (hah!)
DE Daniels
NT Clark
DE Francois
OLB Perry
ILB Ryan
ILB Martinez
OLB Matthews
CB Randall
S Burnett
S Clinton-Dix
CB House

Nickel (Real Base)
Francois out, Clark rotates with Lowry
King at boundary, Randall to slot, or Rollins to slot

Dime: Martinez and Ryan out, Jones in, Rollins/King in

I'm hoping the rookies can earn those spots.

Asiata gives us day 1 value. That's who I want most. Perine/ Mack/ Biegel are all high for me too. I'm hoping we come out with 2/4 at least.

Lawson and Price but they have injury issues. Same with Mathis and Brown. Wise? I'd say Wise, but he was moved to a backup mid-season. Watch Langi vs Storm Norton. Moss flashes opposite of Rivers. He's probably a two-deep rusher, but that's worth a 4th. Day 3 pass-rushers...the odds are against you.

Like the business we have done so far, King look a real physical freak.

Just think we badly need some edge rush next, I am not a fan of our pass rushing options at all going into the season.
