Dark horse first rounder in the 3rd. Nothing guarantees he is Elis successor but it's worth the pick

Reese constantly praised Webb's arm. Said he will be groomed behind Eli.

I'm a Webb fan from his time at Texas Tech, so congrats.

Is he a future NFL starter? Ehhh I have my doubts, but it's worth the risk in the 3rd round because the tools are definitely there.

He's got the arm talent and the leadership traits. Transferred to Cal and immediately took control of the locker room. It's good to have an option for when Eli retires. If he develops, maybe we won't be one of those teams that are forced to draft a QB in round one when Eli leaves?

And as hard as it is to admit, I think most of us started noticing a decline in Eli's game last year. Hopefully the additional weapons on offense will prove that to be an illusion. But it's good to have a backup not named Geno Smith just is case.

I don't love it, I don't hate it. Wish we got a more immediate piece like Rasual Douglas or a LB. but he was my second fav Qb in the draft

Even if he's not the future we have to start grooming someone to take the reigns. Can't say I watched many Cal games but from the highlights looks like he as a pretty strong arm. Let him mentor under Eli for a couple of years and if he's ready to take over so be it.

I love the pick me, he has all the tools, poise, he's a leader, he can move in the pocket and is fairly atheletic, plus he's coming from Cal. He's certainly a project but he couldn't have ended up in a better situation he has McAdoo the QB guru to teach him and Eli who's a great teacher. He'll have two of thee years to develop and I'm not saying he's Rodgers but he has a lot of the same critiscims coming out and a massive chip on his shoulder. Plus he's an absolite film junkie who idolizes Tom Brady, Eli, and Rodgers and the way they prepare. This may be overly optimistic but I think we may have found a successor. Plus multiple analysits had him rated as the #1 QB in the draft and as we've seen lately you don't need to get your guy in he first round

The one pick I hate, honestly. Webb is in a group of QBs that have accuracy issues that can't be fixed with coaching. I'd love to be proved wrong, but I don't see it happening.

Ppl forget that so ignorantly. Mike McCarthy himself said that destroyed and rebuilt Aaron Rodgers when he was drafted. He was not that good in college at and. Oh and a 1yr starter at that

Exactly there's a reason Rodgers dropped. McCarthy and McAdoo know how to develop QBs and you'll be hard pressed to find a QB coming out of college with more raw talent and work ethic
