Yeah, I definitely liked to hear that.

Zimmer saying he'll start career at Center.

Good! Not thrilled with Easton. Berger can play OG

I think that is smart. Let him focus on one position, Let him compete with Easton.

Berger and Sirles can compete at RG.

I look forward to seeing everyone compete on the line.

I'm actually a fan of Sirles, he looked much better last year than most of the lineman we tossed out there.

Highest-drafted interior offensive lineman by Vikings since Ryan Cook in 2006.

187. John Sullivan (2008)
196. Jeff Baca (2013)

Wow, thats pretty pathetic.

That's insane

Yes. Crying about that for years. It's no surprise our OL sucked this hard in recent years. It simply hasnt been taken care of.

I think it's possible we start out with Reiff, Boone, Elflein, Isidora, Remmers.

Highly doubtful that two rookies end up starting at C and RG. I think Berger or Sirles will grab at least one of those starting spots.

The depth along the interior has gotten better but I am still concerned about Tackle depth. We are returning the same players (Clemmings and Hill), I am not confident that they have the ability to develop into mediocre backups at the least.

They were the starters at the end of the season. Now they're both backups. Wouldn't that be improved depth at the position? And I'd guess Sirles can/will still be used as a swing tackle, not exclusively at G.

In a way, sure. We added better quality starters to demote those players. But at the end of the day, they are still on the roster and if any injury occurs, still relying on the same problem players from a year ago.

The depth didnt get better at tackle in my opinion because we didnt add a developmental tackle that might actually be able to develop into a good starter. I dont trust Clemmings becoming a good starter.

When your Tackles are below average at their respective positions and have expensive price tags, i think it is somewhat pressing to start finding players to take over. Hopefully in 2018, the Vikes spend a high pick on a LT.

The 2017 tackle draft class was beyond horrendous. Then Vikings did right by not wasting a pick on any of them.

You might be right in the end, but I do have fairly low expectations for our Tackles this year. Not impressed with who is starting and I have little confidence in the backups. Given Reiff's and Remmer's ability to stay healthy, hopefully we wont have to see Clemmings in action.

Rashod Hill was pretty solid in his only start last season at LT.

I'm comfortable with the OL depth as it is. Looks for UDFA Aviante Collins to compete. I feel like he should have been drafted.

Good pick, I'm not too worried about his scores. He seems to play fairly nastily.

If you're looking purely at BPA by position, that was clearly Pat Elflein. The next center drafted was Chase Roullier, 129 picks after Elflein.

With emphasis on "available", as the first center off the board was Ethan Pocic. That kind of surprised me, but I think the Seahawks liked his size better.

How did West Virginia's Tyler Orlosky not get drafted?

Offensive tackle wasn't the only position that was putrid in this draft. I think the Vikings got a potentially decent center, but the class as a whole just plain stunk.
