I'm not too familiar with Obi at all, but based on draft capsules and all, I see a guy who's a good 'downhill tackler'. And he's 6'4, 220+.
Is there a chance we try this guy as a ILB?? |

I don't think he's as raw as people make him out to be |
I think it's the opposite some people here think he's not raw because he was a four year starter. He is pretty raw for the NFL. I have a lot more belief in Obi than I ever did Watson or Ward though. | What is that supposed to mean? Played DB in High school and 48 starts at S at Uconn |

Starts automatically make you NFL ready? His skills are pretty green for the NFL level. He was drafted for size and speed.
Love the pick though. |

Well yeah Vic, I'd say passing on him in the 1st 2 rounds confirmed that before the tweet |

Love the pick though. | Most all of these prospects aren't NFL ready. Sure he has to learn the NFL game, but playing the position his whole career is a start. Unlike Peppers for example who doesn't have a position. Imo raw is someone who hasn't played much at a position or not much experience at the game. |

High upside at a position of need. Hopefully helps with our TE woes...hated him in the first as I thought there would be much better value available..like the pick a lot more in the 2nd...was hoping to go DB in the first two rounds and we did...we also added a bunch of much needed speed to our secondary... |

Cautiously optimistic. He's a "looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane" type. Soft for his size. Nothing special to his game.
IMO, you look back in 2 years, he's JAG and doesn't have the impact some other prospects might have had. _________________

In that the staff sees his role and value to the team. I just don't see anything I like. This is an Al Davis pick. Athlete playing football. Don't like how soft he is. _________________

So i guess Obi isn't just an athlete then. | Yup, not a big hitter but a solid tackler against the run. | Ya I have no issues with Obi other than his value getting over inflated. I just have other guys ahead of him at 24. I certainly like his tackling and physicality better than Cunningham at LB. |
This is how I feel. I don't mind Obi. Just don't think he's a first round talent. Round 2, I'm all for it. |

He's a willing tackler who may not be the big hitter you expect when u look at his size but offers size and speed and the ability to cover TEs. Raiders don't need him to be a big hitter they have JK for that. He reminds me a lot of Bengals FS George Iloka, but i think OBi covers skills are better. _________________ #Dodgers |

I really do think he's gonna play more OLB for us than Safety. |
