McGill definitely gone now.

He is still only 4th on the safety depth chart.

Cunningham was my top ranked prospect, but Obi was second. Phenomenal value. And addresses a need. If he and Conley both play up to their potential and Joseph stays heathy, we have three key pieces in the secondary. 3 guys with pro bowl potential I might add. And they all compliment one another very well. This guy has TE stopper written all over him. Though it is kind of funny KJ is the big hitter at 5'8" and Obi is more of the swiss army knife that can play free or strong safety or even some nickel corner. This tells me the staff feels a lot of the lack of pass rush was due to the back end failing to do their jobs and not the front. Not that we don't need talent, but big picture, long term type.of thing. I worry about our LBs, but I xant fault the FO for taking a top 15 prospect at 24 and a top 40 player.late in the second, and it's not like these guys don't fill needs as well. Very excited with the first two rounds..

Interesting note from @RapSheet, says #Raiders nearly took their 2nd-round pick Obi Melifonwu in the 1st round.

Not really surprised. He's a freak but he's also smart and a high character guy. Reggie kind of guy.

Yup. We can cut him once we have someone else.

Exactly. Perfect fit. This helps make up for how upset I was yesterday.

Love it.

We have our pair to Karl on the long run.

5'10 rangy speed guy with great skills and football IQ paired up with a 6'4 freak, who can cover TE's and can tackle really well.

Sounds familiar?

Our secondary just got a lot better.

I think McMillan was #1 and Obi #2 here for us.

Now we have to root for Duke Riley or Anthony Walker to be there in the 3rd.

I think we liked McMillan a lot. Sounds like we would have taken Obi still though based on that tweet. Bet we preferred McMillan over Cunningham though.

Either way: Amerson-Obi-Joseph-Conley could be really good.

I don't think he's as raw as people make him out to be

I think it's the opposite some people here think he's not raw because he was a four year starter. He is pretty raw for the NFL. I have a lot more belief in Obi than I ever did Watson or Ward though.
