I bet the long wait was Howie saying he likes Wilson/Tabor at that spot lol

Joe had to talk him down off the table

Smaller Pic, smaller Pic! Laughing

Now this I can get behind just don't rush him back. Take his time so there isn't a 2nd set back. Any contribution in 2017 is a bonus IMO.

Best corner in the draft with a bad injury. This is the kind of risk/reward pick we haven't made in quite some years. If he's healthy he's probably going in the top 15.

I'd interested to see some data on defensive backs who have torn their Achilles and have been able to come back strong. If I recall a torn Achilles was the downfall for Leon Hall.

yeah PUP him and let him come back in week 7 if at all. Adding a starting corner in the middle of the year with first round talent might not be a bad thing.

Sidney Jones’ doctors target a possible September return to action
Quote:
Washington cornerback Sidney Jones got very bad news last month, when he tore an Achilles tendon while conducting his Pro Day workout. He’s continuing to get good news about his prognosis.

Medical reports have been sent to all teams regarding the status of the injury following surgery to repair the tendon. According to information submitted by Dr. Robert Anderson and Dr. Ed Khalfayan, Jones will be fully recovered in as soon as four months and as long as six. This could put Jones back on the field in September.

Jones recently expressed optimism about a September return during a visit to PFT Live. It’s one thing for the player to express that kind of optimism; it’s quite another for multiple physicians to do so.

A report from Dr. Anderson indicates that the surgical site has “completely healed” only four weeks after the procedure, and that he has initiated range of motion exercises.

I posted this earlier in the draft thread, but I think I should post it here as well.

I LOVE this pick. Love Jones, great athlete and playmaker. If he comes back at 100% I expect big things from him. Don't care how much he does this year, just want him to be ready to play by 2018.

I was bummed when we missed on Cook when it was so close but this is nice. Was hoping for a franchise RB but that will have to wait until next year.

Better than Lattimore imo. Footwork isnt as beautiful compared to Lattimore, but I think the Marcus Peters comp is a good one for Silky Sid. 185 is probably as big as he gets, but at least he'll try to tackle.
