Outside of not thinking Adoree Jackson is going to be a good CB, I'm actually really happy with this off-season. I just hope I'm wrong about Jackson.

We addressed defense in FA.
Logan Ryan
Cyperien
Drafted a CB in the 1st.
As it stands now: Ryan, Sims, Jackson, McCain, Reed.
Much better than Fading McCourty, Cox, McCain, Blake

And Robinson feels there still some guys he likes remaining in the DB position.

Again, failure to get a personal preference doesn't equal failure in talent.
The fact that "addressing" the defense in free agency consists of a list of only one competent football player is pretty damning KT.

With that said, I'm sorry guys, been two of my most frustrating days at work ever the last couple days so I've probably been a little extra negative with this draft class that admittedly has me feeling underwhelmed.

Not to mention your bball team just got it handed to them after wiping the floor with the lowly Raps in two of the first three games of their series.

Yes, that was an excellent cap to the first of my ridiculously frustrating days. Laughing

Going into the offseason, most of us would have said our biggest needs were:

WR
CB
S
ILB/TE

After the first two days of the draft and FA, we've added:
2 WRs
2 CBs
1 S
1 TE

Might be the first time our perceived needs matched with the FO. Laughing

I love the make up of our WR corps. All these guys are known for their hard work and work ethic. You know that they're going to be pushing each other all throughout camp and the season. Complete opposite (character wise) from the likes of DGB, Hunter & Wright.
I am on board with this. If I never see another raw, athletic freak with a questionable work ethic at wide receiver it will still be too soon.

Such a great point. It feels good hearing words like 'production' and 'consistency' over words we are used to hearing like 'intangibles' and 'upside.' 'Team 1st' sounds so good.

Sorry to hear that bud. Hope things turn around quickly.

Hell of a deal.

Jeff Fisher = Nashville's friend.

Wouldn't mind Desmond King as a potential S in round 4.

Desmond King
Corn Elder
Eddie Jackson
Dorian Johnson

Any of those 4 on Day 3 would be cool.

I missed last night but I thought I read we traded our 4th to move up in the 3rd.

Robinson mentioned secondary and front 7 guys he likes for tomorrow. And a few guys on offense.

So literally every position haha. but its worth noting that he mentioned secondary first. Would like another CB.

I don't know if this means much but I went back to Jon's first draft last year to determine what he likes to draft year wise and here is its:

4/14 picks have been Redshirt Seniors
5/14 picks have been true Seniors
3/14 picks have been Redshirt Juniors
2/14 picks have been true Juniors

We'll see how the rest of the draft goes but he seems to really like guys who stay all four or five years in college.

I have my eyes firmly locked on Jeremy Cutrer from MTSU with our 5th round pick. Mark it down.

Heard he had character concerns.

That's my only criticism of JRob so far. Seems to pay too much to trade up. When asked if he had information that Taywan Taylor would be gone by our pick #83, requiring trade up, he smiled and said he was just bored.

While I do agree with you he seems to give up a little much to trade up, I think his answer was facetious and he really did hear winds of him being taken. I'm loving this draft class so far, pretty excited for the future.

As long as the dudes he trade up for keep playing like studs I don't care if he pays a little too much. Honestly, I don't think we've paid a lot more than you would expect.

It probably would have cost a 5th round pick to move up and instead of losing a pick altogether we swapped a 4th for a 6th.
