now sometimes they hide the prospect visits, but I'm convinced more and more, if they don't visit then we aint drafting them (if we talking about the 1st round or two.)

We addressed defense in FA.
Logan Ryan
Cyperien
Drafted a CB in the 1st.
As it stands now: Ryan, Sims, Jackson, McCain, Reed.
Much better than Fading McCourty, Cox, McCain, Blake

And Robinson feels there still some guys he likes remaining in the DB position.

Again, failure to get a personal preference doesn't equal failure in talent.

Does any team draft someone in the first that they haven't visited with?

So we got Jack Conklin, Corey Davis, Austin Johsnon, Derrick Henry, and Jonnu Smith essentially for the 1st pick last year.

Hell of a deal.

Our next pick should be a linebacker.

I remember reading that in-state players can visit without it counting towards your visit totals(which I think teams get like 60? not sure) so I'm not sure players from the state should be counted quite as much as the others. Not that we can't pick them, but if they were a draftable player from the state, they probably visited just because there'd be no reason for us to not have them in.

The Bears apparently did. Trubisky said, if I'm not mistaken, that he had minimal contact with the Bears.
Mike Williams also said that he only spoke with a scout through text and had a video workout that was shown to management...that's it.

idk why but im concerned we didnt address our depth at guard...this Kline kid I dont know much about him.

I cant tell if you are serious lol

Im serious Ive seen more footage of Tretola & Dennis Kelly than I have Kline...idk why that is I listened to every game watched the primetime games. But either way just saying I was hoping we would get a guard. I think thats a potential weak spot. Maybe I am nuts though.

Kline was great last year, dude even filled in and played a decent tackle. We have literally zero need of a guard.

Don't think Kline ever played tackle, unless it was for some mop up snaps or something when we wanted Lewan and Conklin both off the field(which I still don't recall happening).

You're probably thinking of Kelly playing LT after Lewan got ejected vs GB.

Let's not get carried away...lol I think we won't draft someone in the 1st round or even 2nd round that hasn't visited. But later rounds I think anything goes...they might not have visited the complex, but we would have had a meeting or workout, I feel

I wasn't saying anything to that regard. Was just noting with Tennessee players to not put as much stock in to their visits because their visits are technically "free ones". Didn't mention or talk about drafting guys that haven't visited.

Oopps, My reply was meant for the other statement of drafting just those who visited. Not so much your point. Smile

The fact that "addressing" the defense in free agency consists of a list of only one competent football player is pretty damning KT.

With that said, I'm sorry guys, been two of my most frustrating days at work ever the last couple days so I've probably been a little extra negative with this draft class that admittedly has me feeling underwhelmed.

One thing before I call it a night.

I love the make up of our WR corps. All these guys are known for their hard work and work ethic. You know that they're going to be pushing each other all throughout camp and the season. Complete opposite (character wise) from the likes of DGB, Hunter & Wright.

I am on board with this. If I never see another raw, athletic freak with a questionable work ethic at wide receiver it will still be too soon.
