Really hope he turns into a dominant WR, as that's something we've never had in 20 years in Nashville. D-Mase was as close as we've had, but he was never a guy that came in an bossed a game like the greats. Would be amazing if Davis is that guy given how talented the rest of the young roster is.

Since they've been in Nashville, we've had guys kill it most every other position group at certain points, but WR has been our achilles heal year after year.

I honestly won't know how to react if Davis becomes as great as I believe he'll be. Britt's stretch in 2011 was the closest we've truly come to a dominant receiver.

I also want to point out, regarding his speed/40 time, that his brother Titus Davis ran a 4.51 at the combine. I wouldn't be surprise if Corey runs a similar time.

Was listening to Jon Robinson on local radio and we were rumored to been offered
2017 1st, 2nd, 4th and 2018 1st to move down.
Now that sounds good, but it also likely would have been low picks with Chiefs most likely being a playoff team.
Also would have missed on all the WRs and had to get in on the next tier: Zay Jones, JuJu, and Cooper Kupp.

The rumored trade down sounds good but I think people would feel alot more uneasy about the passing game if we had Kupp and Taywan Taylor.

Actually that trade doesn't sound good at all.... Like you said the picks will be late picks and even if they weren't, it's horrible value. Going from 5 to 27 is a big drop.

That kind of drop, considering its a playoff team and thus the following season would likely have a low first as well, means they'd need to give up two first and two seconds to start talking IMO.

Alright I loved Davis prior to listening to that interview. Seems to have high character, and we both suck at golf!

Buuuuut #22, who's getting dusted, ran a 4.63 at MTSU's Pro Day.

Yea I think he's plenty fast. If I had to guess on what he runs, I'd say a 4.45.

Who was it, when asked how fast he was, said, "Depends on who's chasing me." Smile

40 is overrated Jerry rice, Larry Fitzgerald, Anquon Boldin, I mean it's all about can you beat the man in front of you, catch the ball & become a playmaker once you catch it.
If you're a burner that's just ice cream on top of the cake, but we've had plenty of receivers Tyrone calico 4.34 Kenny Britt 4.47/4.52, Justin hunter 4.44, greenbeckham 4.49 all failed to be a franchise cornerstone at the WR position despite all their elite athleticism.
Only thing I hope Davis does is stop dropping easy passes, & put on some muscle. Dude reminds me of my favorite all time WR Terrell Owens.
He's smart he can run the whole route tree, knows how to setup DBs, can separate, take the top off a defense & is a playmaker.
Please football gods let us finally got it right.

He is plenty fast. Just hope that ankle is healthy by TC and he doesn't miss any valuable time in the offense install and building a rapport with #8.

Not that I think Davis is slow, but a 4.63 at a MTSU pro day is probably 4.7 at the combine. Pro day times almost always come out faster.

Davis is probably a 4.5 guy with really good acceleration and average top end speed. Nothing wrong with that.

Call me a homer but if both Mariota and Davis are healthy, Davis is a legit ROY candidate.
