Apparently the Eagles were trying to trade up to 7 to get McCaffrey.
Yes, but the Eagles are dumb and nobody likes them.

Yeah! Nobody takes our draft picks!

Still some very solid talent on the board. Finger crossed we can land a couple with our next few picks.

IMO the biggest unsurprise in the gettleman era. everyone and their mom saw this coming in the last couple weeks. but fills 3 positions of need rb, slot wr, kr in 1 pick? gold. I like it a lot more than I did a few weeks ago. if he is a better woodhead/sproles I'm all for it.

What is everyone thinking for round 2? I am on the fence with hoping that Robinson is still there with our pick. Do you guys think we take him with our next pick or someone like Quincy Jones if he is there? I like the Norman like swagger that Jones has and that he is a solid tackler. I would be happy with either of them with 2.8 and then maybe Chris Godwin or Zay Jones is there with our later pick. This would please me.

Love the McCaffrey pick. Our offense needed a playmaker and McCaffrey fits the bill. Still lots of good players on the board that we could pick.

Ramcyzk, Robinson, Wilson, Zay, Baker, Obi, Willis

I think the most surprising thing of Round 1 was that we did not trade back up into the 20s. When I saw OJ slipping, I thought it was a lock...

Lot of DB's out there still I am hoping for. Quincy Wilson or Budda Baker is who im praying for with our next pick.

Kind of desperately hoping to see Forrest Lamp fall to us, but I don't think that happens. This is kind of how I've got my own "board" ordered, loosely. I'd be stoked on most any combination of these players over the course of day 3, others too, but these are my favorites.

To Budda Baker - I'm so torn on him, love the player, I just don't love the fit for us. I did at one point, but the size is a real concern.

Forrest Lamp
Dede Westbrook
Jourdan Lewis
Obi Melifonwu
Jordan Willis
Cam Robinson
Kevin King
Desmond King
Antonio Garcia
Roderick Johnson
Marcus Williams
Dion Dawkins
Cooper Kupp
Josh Jones
Sidney Jones
Derek Rivers
Taylor Moton
Gerald Everett
Demarcus Walker
Rasul Douglas
George Kittle
Dawuane Smoot
Adam Shaheen

I didn't do crap for research on Lamp.

I heard he was a Guard that was later discussed at Tackle.

like Cam Robinson.

A Tackle that was later discussed at Guard.

I like your list, above... I'd add Leggett, Butt, Hodges, one of the two Centers (thinking Kalil down the road) and Tabor has to be in the discussion considering how much we met with him.

Perine is still not off my radar... It would spell the demise of JStew... but CMC makes the chances of him sooo much lower, when combined with JStews extension.

Lamp is the classic small-school o-lineman. Obviously played LT in college because he was by far the best player on his team, but he projects better to guard in the NFL. Think Mike Iupati.

I definitely tend to agree, I just love the player and the fit. It'd be great if we could slot him in at RT, given his experience playing OT, but if not, it makes one of Norwell or Turner expendable. It's going to be very hard for us to keep the both of them, and they're both headed for UFA next offseason. I'm thinking Vernon Butler type move, with a little more upside in terms of positional versatility.

Edit: When I say "upside in terms of positional versatility", I mean that we've got more options with where we could potentially play him, not necessarily saying he's got more upside than Butler. Having that kind of versatility (potentially) does wonders for your ability to plan for the future.

I really hope we target one of the DBs. Josh Jones, Obi M., and Kevin King all fit us and at least one of them will be available at #8.

I would be surprised if we didn't take a pass rusher today either. DB, DE, and OL are the three areas I see us targeting. Maybe a receiver, but we won't reach for one.

EDIT - Just realized Jordan Willis is still available. We aren't passing on him at #40. I don't think so anyway.

'Ole Gary released from the Browns.

I suspect we could have interest... and, even if we sign him we may still go after a guy like Hodges or Butt.

If we can come out of today with Robinson/Lamp, Jordan Willis and one of Melifonwu/Jones/Maye, i'd consider this draft a massive success if we trade every other pick we've got to do it. I'd even be in favor of ditching a future pick.

I dunno if Robinson is on our board.

You are thinking Lamp at RT, I assume?
