1. Forrest Lamp, OL, Western Kentucky
With Christian McCaffrey's value playing it's way out of contention for the Broncos, it's likely Elway will focus on OL with this pick. I think he'd like to land Garrett Bolles but I have Seattle trading ahead of us for him. Lamp is the next best thing.

***Trade 2nd and 4th rounders to move up in the second***

2. Curtis Samuel, RB/WR, Ohio State
If we can't land Christian McCaffrey why not go up for the next best thing?

3a. Sidney Jones, CB, Washington
Potential Talib replacement after a redshirt year.

3b. Bucky Hodges, TE, Virginia Tech
Denver needs at least one TE from this draft.

***Trade away one of our 7th rounders to move up in the 5th***

5. Shaquil Griffin, CB, Central Florida
Kayvon Webster replacement

6. Jalen Reeves-Maybin, LB, Tennessee
Don't we draft a Tennessee LB every year?

7. Conor Cella, TE, Rice
Broncos double dip on the draft's strengths corner and TE

7. Trevor Knight, QB, Texas A&M
Practice squad QB

Isn't CJ Anderson one of those dudes that replaced Terrell Davis? If so top 5 RB of all time.

Love Lamp. Love the concept of getting 8 picks out of the 10 we had. We can't keep all 10 guys on our roster & PS.

Only Q - how far up did we have to move in Rd 2?

I'd suggest one key change, that then affects 3B pick, and then affects Rd 5/6/7 pick

Rd 2 - Evan Engram
Pick 3B - Instead of Bucky Hodges, get Duke Walker/Anthony Walker Jr. for ILB.
Pick 5/6/7 - go BPA RB on board. Joe Williams, Sam Perrine, whoever. We really are looking for a RB combo after CJ likely done this year contract-wise. The RB class is just that deep. We then get Ryan Switzer as KR/PR guy Rd 6. Again, insane value.

IRL, I don't know that Sydney Jones will fall that far. But absolutely the right guy to get if he's there.

Love the Lamp 1.20 call. That alone would be a great start. Engram is just my preference if we want a 3rd playmaker on O in early Rd 2. That obviously changes who we then get at 3B, and KR/PR later on.

Really like it outside Curtis Samuel. He isn't a RB at the next level and isn't a polished enough WR to justify that high a pick IMO.

I'm w ya on Curtis Samuel. Take BPA and if Elway wants a weapon, Samuel's the guy. I was going to make a mock w the first two picks exactly the same as this lol.
