Both Dalvin Cook and Joe Mixon are still available. Do we take one or go CB?

I'm hoping Kevin King or Dalvin Cook, Sidney Jones if the medical clear.

Wouldn't shock me if Seattle took King or Jones though, they love big corners.

My order would go as follows:

Sidney Jones

Kevin King

Quincy Wilson

So, we are going to take Wilson. Laughing

I'd rather have had Jordan Willis, Carl Lawson, or maybe Derek Rivers in round 2 than Derek Barnett in round 1.

Will be interesting to see how all their careers play out.

Rather have Basham in round 2 too.

If it is between Mixon and Jones that is a really tough choice to make.

The only thing I hated about the first round is that the Redskins got Allen... That one hurts. I think he is going to be one heck of a player.

love that pick for Dallas

Why? I'm not an expert but from what I've read he has far more upside than our pick which seems to be another Brandon Graham or high floor low ceiling picks we seem to love to make.

Charlton is almost he exact same type of player Chandler Jones was coming out of Syracuse. Both long and lanky, and a little uncoordinated. If he puts it together he's going to be a problem.

I'm with you. Wilson easily being #5 of that list though.

I'd also give outside consideration to Budda.

It's a big if if Taco ever puts it together

He's got talent in him, but he is really inconsistent.

It's almost funny to read scouting reports on him because you'll get a knock on everything that is an essential trait of a DE.

He flings himself around, but doesn't have incredible quickness.
He lacks an elite pass rush Skillset and can get washed
His footwork needs work, just as much as his hand work
He often gets too high and lacks pad level/control
Doesnt make a ton of plays in the backfield because of it
He lacks consistent effort, as a lot of college Dlineman do
Could barely get on the field until this season

He's flashed, and when he does it looks pretty good...and obviously looks pretty in a uniform. With coaching and maturity Taco could become a really good player.

But as far as a comp

Derek Barnett's motor and effort is rarely questioned. He's a leader who has been producing since he was a Freshman...which isnt as common for Dlinemen.
His handwork is pretty damn good for a college player.
He is instinctual and shows good bend and control when getting into the backfield, the opposite of Taco.
Controlled Steady Violence is a phrase that comes to mind when watching him.

In our system, which starts DEs off with an advantage on the end...and it's imperative that they set the edge to funnel RBs and QBs to step up or go inside. His skillset should shine.
