Alot of that is just speculation since Quinn said it was wrong that he wasn't invited to the combine so that organizations could interview him.

This was from a while ago, so who knows what their investigation into Mixon has unearthed: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000788716/article/lions-gm-bob-quinn-joe-mixon-still-on-our-draft-board

I would love this if we were able to trade down and grab an extra 3rd.

McDowell has a lot of Fairley in him.

I think that is correct range for Mixon. You guys have to remember there's
gonna be a good amount of teams that will have him off their board completly.
Not because the GM doesn't see the risk to reward ratio other teams might,
but because enough people in the building, or just the owner, don't want it.

Eh just getting ready to retire and start second career so life been busy ramping up to finally settle down in my home backnin Midwest.

I would take a Fairley right now on that DL

Yes, I've read that.

From a talent standpoint, Mixon is the best back in the draft. I guess it just comes down to how much research the front office did and how comfortable they feel that he has turned a corner.

Strictly speaking football wise, I would love to have him on the Lions. He's what Stafford (and this offense) has lacked for years.

He will end up a Packer or Bear and light up our D for years is our luck

I'd be pretty surprised if Martha Ford wasn't one of those owners.

I don't see her meddling with things though. And I think she has complete faith
in Quinn right now. Based on his comments, I would guess he's on our board.

Either way I do see him going mid 3rd to 4th. If this were 10 years ago, or 10 years
later, or just a weaker draft, I could see higher, but not now.

Bears don't really make sense with Howard, but I am afraid that he will be a Packer and torch us.

Depends on the fall

Packers rumors are 1st/second round

I just don't see it. I think he is talented, I think Fournette and McCafferey are easily better prospects. I think Mixon is a 2nd round type prospect, but should be a late round pick given the off field stuff. The fortunate thing for him is that it happened a while back and he has had time to prove to people he has changed (at least temporarily). But I still don't really want him on this team.

would also love to see him with the lions - one condition - hire Barry Sanders as a special coordinator or what ever title he wants...Oklahoma/Oklahoma St. thing going.

I love this draft even though I don't think Mixon falls that far. McDowell's talent is too much not to take at 21.
