Usually do a lot more mocks but simply do not have time to do much of anything. I will say I have not done a ton of research on the players this year.

Still fun to get a mock in every year if possible even if 12 hours or less from draft

#21- DL- M. McDowell- MSU
#53- ILB- R. McMillan- OSU
#85- RB- J. Mixon- Okl
#127- TE- B. Hodges- VT
#165- Edge- T. Hendrickson- Florida Atl
#205- WR- S. Coley- MIa
#215-OLB- M. Milano- BC
#250- Edge H. Dimick- Utah

Outside the top 4 picks I really did not find anyone eye popping that i want in this draft.

Strongly dislike. In a draft with a lot of talent and players who are likely to stick, you selected a guy with an awful motor and a lack of passion in the first. The talent is there, but I cringe at the thought of taking him here, especially with the likelihood of other players who are eminently talented being available.

I like the McMillan pick.

I really do not want a piece of garbage like Mixon on the team and I am hard pressed to believe Martha and her daughters would allow this to happen, but it may. This is not really about talent or whether or not it will happen, but more about my personal distaste for Mixon.

Like the Hodges pick.

I worry about Coley but I think this position is accurate and I also think the Lions will end up taking him at some point.

Some of the later picks I like and I like McMillan (although I believe there will be other players available there who I like better), but I think the first pick is a total whiff and Joe Mixon clearly has stability issues.

I get some people want a roster full of character. As I've said in past character doesn't always equal wins so willing to gamble on talent

I like McMillan and Hodges, and Mixon provides unbelievable value in round 3, just think that may be a bit optimistic. Don't think he gets past Cinici in round 2.

I am not looking for angels like Caldwell and Mayhew did two years ago (and what a catastrophic failure it was). I think there is a lot of middle ground between high character guys and Joe Mixon. Mixon has had a couple of incidents that we know about. I think the likelihood of recidivism is high.

From a moral perspective, I do not want to reward someone with his past.

But, as you've indicated, I think the talent is there in spades. On a personal level, I'd be disappointed.

I don't want Mixon as an UDFA, let alone the 3rd.

Tired of this losing organization. It's time to take some personal issue guys and coach them up. You can't teach talent

Long time no see, detroitfan; hope your good.

I would love this if we were able to trade down and grab an extra 3rd.

McDowell has a lot of Fairley in him.

I think that is correct range for Mixon. You guys have to remember there's
gonna be a good amount of teams that will have him off their board completly.
Not because the GM doesn't see the risk to reward ratio other teams might,
but because enough people in the building, or just the owner, don't want it.

... and you can't fix stupid. How's Mixon going to turn this into a winning organization when all signs that I've seen point to frequent long suspensions?

It's not like we haven't steered clear of guys without impeccable records in the past. Passing on guys with character concerns isn't the reason we've been an open sewer for almost 20 years. In fact, taking guys with character concerns has burned us way more than passing on them has.

I'd be pretty surprised if Martha Ford wasn't one of those owners.

Me too: http://www.freep.com/story/sports/nfl/lions/2016/06/07/martha-ford-detroit-lions/85546454/.

She's been honored for her stance on DV. I have heard that Mixon is still on Lions draft board (I dont have insider- just recall an article about this).
