SLB is a <500 snap player. No way do the Cowboys spend a premium pick on a linebacker that isn't Sean Lee's replacement.

Correct. It would have to be with the focus of replacing Lee.

Now, I am confident someone like Jefferson (Texas) could be our SLB while being groomed for WLB.

Brown - Jones - Wood - Awuzie

Lee - Smith - Jefferson

That is a fine looking back 7.

What you guys thinking the depth chart will look like on D?

RE - Taco/Mayowa
DT - Thor/Paea
DT - Collins/Crawford
LE - Irving/Tapper
3rd DT - Ivie or Carrell or 3rd DE ?

WLB - Lee/Hitch
MLB - Smith/Hitch
SLB - Wilson/Morris

RCB - Awuzie/Carroll
LCB - Brown/Lewis/White
Slot - Lewis/Scan

FS - Jones/Heath
SS - Woods/Fazier

- I'm going to call DLaw a surprise cut. And, I'm on the fence about Scan being there come Sept. Most likely will be, but Scan said Dallas was trying to move him despite JJ's remark they were not.

How the rotation looks with the rookies early in the season, I'm not sure. But I think this is pretty reasonable for what to expect during the second half of the season. I might lean towards expecting that Heath holds down a starting job.

Apparently according to the secret audio videos, Rod M. was super high on Joey Ivey.

Will McClay on @1053thefan says he felt like T.J. Watt was better suited to be a 3-4 outside linebacker, not a 4-3 defensive end.

There are sveral of us here that were bashed for saying similar things about his thin frame.

I still think he could get the job done as an End, but IDK about him handling the trench warfare day in and day out with that frame and injury history.

That was probably what they though of Bowser as well.

Its best for the Cowboys and for Watt that he went to the Steelers instead of us. With his injury history, it might have been pretty brutal at DE. I would have been fine if they selected him, but he was never the top guy for me.

Got the feeling Watt would be like "Sean Lee" in that he will be great when healthy, but may have possible "staying on the field" issues.

Relative values of our picks:

Charlton was picked at #28. Ourlads value is #29. CBS is #17

Awuzie Was picked at #60. Ourlads value is #37. CBS is #27.

Lewis was picked at #92. Ourlads value is #59. CBS is #65.

Switzer was picked at #133. Ourlads value is #151. CBS is # 180.

Woods was picked at #191. Ourlads value is #114. CBS value is #156.

White was picked at #216. Ourlads value is #140. CBS value is #237.

Ivie was not rated anywhere by either organisation.

Brown was picked at #239. Ourlads value is #212. CBS value is #200.

Carrell was picked at #246. No rank by Ourlads. CBS value is #347.

Out of all those picks we got negative value on only two (Ivie and Carrell). Otherwise the rest were at least average value. Switzer and Woods are good deals. Awuzie and Lewis are steals. If these prospects develop as expected the 2017 draft would be one of the best Cowboy drafts ever.

I've been told former #Baylor WR K.D. Cannon has been cut by the @49ers. He signed as a non-drafted free agent. #NFL

Well that was a quick exit.

Wonder what he did...guess John Lynch is showing them there is a new sheriff in town.

Anybody else read the MMQB article on SF? They ended up with some good players (happens when you pick #2), but the inside report sure seems like one of an organization that doesn't really know what it's doing yet.

Probably so given Lynch and Shanahan are both rookies.

Violation of team rules. One instance, he caught a pass and burned the defender, but didn't finish running through the play.

KD is a RIDUCLOUS athlete and has crazy talent, but his work ethic is very poor and his ego is too big. He can be pretty selfish on the field at times as well, particularly jawing at opponents and picking up 15 yard unsportsmanlike penalties.

Sign him. We never got a true deep threat anyway.
