Happy draft day!
I'd like it if we can keep this thread spoiler free. So basically don't post picks off of Twitter.
Such a fluid first round this year. I'm trying to put together the one mock I do every year and it's much, much harder than usual. There are just too many good prospects.
For the Ravens in particular I'm hoping for Corey Davis, Mike Williams, or Forrest Lamp. John Ross would be on there too if the durability concerns didn't scare me. Haason Reddick would also be nice but it sounds like he won't make it that far.
Despite not buying into the recent Cam Robinson hype I do think he's the most likely name to be called at 16. Just seems to fit what the team wants on the line. Moving him to left guard could be fun... The other big name is Reuben Foster but I don't think he drops.
No pass-rushers on that list because I think the better value at that position could be had in the second round. Not real sold on Derek Barnett, Charles Harris, or Takkarist McKinley. Seems like Taco Charlton's stock has dropped to the second round so he's unlikely at 16. Same thing at cornerback, although that's more obvious.
As of right now the only darkhorse candidates I can see would be guys who aren't taken as high as most thought. Specifically O.J. Howard and Jonathan Allen. Howard because he's a tight end, and Allen because of his shoulder concerns and not being a dynamic threat on the edge. Solomon Thomas won't fall to 16 and Marshon Lattimore should be off the board given Gareon Conley's situation. Malik Hooker dropping could be interesting. There hasn't been much talk about him during the predraft process and I'm wondering if teams have him rated lower than draftniks do.
Whatever happens, this should be a good one. Enjoy the next few days everybody. |

Here are picks for the Ravens at 16 from some of the final mock drafts I've seen:
Doug Martz (DraftBoardGuru): Cam Robinson
Ryan McCrystal (DraftAce): Cam Robinson
Scott Wright (Draft Countdown): Cam Robinson
Bob McGinn (MJS): Cam Robinson
Mike Loyko (NEPD): Cam Robinson
Albert Breer (MMQB): Reuben Foster
Peter Schrager (FOX): Reuben Foster
Charlie Casserly (NFLN): Reuben Foster
Jason La Canfora (CBS): Reuben Foster
Spencer and Engle (Draft Breakdown): Corey Davis
Daniel Jeremiah (NFLN): Corey Davis
Mel Kiper Jr. (ESPN): Corey Davis
Lance Zierlein (NFLN): Corey Davis
Dane Brugler (CBS): Forrest Lamp
Josh Norris (Rotoworld): Forrest Lamp
Todd McShay (ESPN): Forrest Lamp
Mike Mayock (NFLN): Haason Reddick
NFL Rough Draft: Haason Reddick
Rob Rang (CBS): Mike Williams
Peter King (MMQB): Mike Williams
Louis Riddick (ESPN): Ryan Ramczyk
Those are from some of the best mock drafters in the business. Well, at least according to The Huddle Report and their annual contest. A couple of outliers but only because they're interesting. Like Norris. Still waiting to see from McShay, Kiper, and a couple of the NFL Network guys. If anybody reads any more of them post it up. I'd like to look back and see who gets Baltimore's pick correct. Nothing surprising from the results, although there's such a range of guys the Ravens could take it would be hard to put somewhere there who we haven't discussed. Breer's writeup of Baltimore's pick had a nice little nugget:
Quote: | 16. Ravens: Alabama LB Reuben Foster. No one gets more background on Bama players than Ozzie Newsome. And I hear he’s OK with Foster’s flags |
But I still don't think Foster falls that far.

Shrager (Fox) 4/27 has a taking Foster, with Mike Williams and Corey Davis still onboard. John Ross was taken by Eagles.
Daniel Jeremiah (NFLN) 4/27 has us taking Corey Davis
Lance Zierlein (NFLN) 4/26 has us taking Corey Davis |

Fans really should not be surprised when 3 QBs, Humphrey, C.Harris, Taco, T.White, Watt, and Takk go higher than many #OnHere want them to. |
Pete Prisco (CBS): Forrest Lamp
Will Brinson (CBS): Mike Williams |

Mayock is one of the best. If he knows something about Hooker falling...I think it's legit.
With that being said...Malik Hooker or nothing! |

Man, I'll be so disappointed if it's Cam @ 16. Take Cam @ 21-25 through a trade? Sure. I'd rather it be Lamp @ 16 if we go OL too.
As I've said a ton of times, just give me anybody out of Williams/Davis/Foster/Reddick/Barnett and I'll be fine. Throw Ross in there too if those 5 are gone.
I'm really hoping Reddick is there.
I'll be really torn/intrigued if Hooker is there @ 16. |

Oh man. If Hooker is available. You run that card up as quick as you can. He'll learn behind Weddle. Perfect. Get him in on certain downs. He'll still see some significant time if he earns it early. _________________ Ravens Nation. Enough Said |

Anyone else absolutely in love with Cooper Kupp as a potential 2nd round pick? _________________ Ravens Nation. Enough Said |

I don't think I'm exactly in love with him, but I think he would be a great pick which would be difficult to disagree with need/value wise _________________ Ravens 2017 feat. Flaccid Flaccos speedsters and Dean Peas softies |

I agree. I think he's awesome.
Interesting to see how he would be used right away. I'm sure we would have packages to get him on the field. |

Nearly all the mocks I've done have had Elflein and Pocic falling to the third round. I know that's not the most accurate indicator, but I feel like there should be a starting Center available for the Ravens at #74 or #78.
If the Ravens take Lamp, it has to be after trading down, so that should net another 3rd round pick. _________________

Two players with deep medical history to watch tonight: #UCLA LB Takk McKinley & #Washington WR John Ross. Teams believe both could slide. |

There are 2 sides to both Ross’ & McKinley’s medical issues. Talent not in question, teams’ll weigh risk/reward. My article on it is posting |

Perhaps I am in the minority, but more phone calls I make and more teams I talk to, more convinced I am Gareon Conley gets selected tonight |

One team plotting a potential move up: The #Falcons, who pick No. 31. One team plotting a potential move down: The #Bills, who pick No. 10. |
