It's draft day.

I'm a weird mix of excited, anxious and terrified.

Now I'm god knows why not a moderator yet but I think we can all agree on one rule for this thread. That rule is no spoiling the picks before they are announced.

It's our Super Bowl today! Let's hope we win!

Other draft day "rules" for the noobs, switch to subsilver and no gifs in the draft thread.

Anyone else legitimately concerned the Browns are going to do the unthinkable and draft Trub #1 today?

I don't know why they are bothering stockpiling ammunition with all of these draft picks if they are going to reach and get terrible value for guys.

I mean, they could probably trade 12 and 33 and go up to around #5 and trade with Tennessee and get both Garrett and Trub.

I'm worried because Haslam is a con artist.

No.

I won't be convinced we've passed on Garrett until the pick is made.

I get this idea, but something has served me well as a coping mechanism as a Cleveland fan over my lifetime:

I assume the worst so that when it happens, I'm not surprised and I've already dealt with it so that I can move on with my life.

Then, when something great happens, it makes it EVEN BETTER! Laughing

Example, last year when the Cavs won it all, I assumed LeBron broke his hand on that almost greatest dunk of all time, that Delly would come in, clank both free throws, Steph would hit a banked in 3 as time expires, and that they'd lose in overtime.

Also, I'm not joking, I'm 100% serious.

All the interviews I've seen of Sashi and Hue have always left me with the impression that they'll do the right thing. But I still can't help but be nervous.

Hopefully they are masterfully playing a game with these Trubisky rumours.

As long as that game is poker and they're bluffing and not chicken or Russian roulette then absolutely.

I still think it would be HILARIOUS if they traded back to #2 and SF traded to #1 (won't happen because their roster is a dumpster fire) because they really want Trub and we got Garrett, their 2nd, and next year's #1.

Won't happen, but still. Laughing

Just flew back to Bangkok from NYC (I work & live in BKK most of the year) - 26 hrs worth of flying and i slept about 45 min of it so ...i feel your pain Laughing

As for the draft - I implore the draft Gods not to let us reach for a QB in the 1st who can't play this season anyway. Beyond that, there's enough D talent for us to upgrade our pass rush and secondary so hopefully we wont Browns it up too bad!
