It's go time, now or never, I want everyone to list their top 5/10/whatever you want options for #28. I want to see who makes the most lists, and if we end up getting a guy who made many of them.

My top 10 for tomorrow, some may not be there but it's not out of the question:

1) Derek Barnett, DE
2) Taco Charlton, DE
3) TJ Watt, DE
4) Kevin King, CB
5) Takk McKinley, DE
6) Adoree Jackson, CB
7) Obi Melifonwu, S
8) Malik McDowell, DT
9) Corey Davis, WR
10) John Ross, WR

All I'm gonna say is Jerry, you better take someone from that list. Lol.

Why? 4 yr contract at 2.5m/yr... vs what even a crappy RT makes off the street? I mean, we were paying Free $5m/yr. Thats a pretty good chunk of savings that could be used to bolster the DEF with free agents.

I don't think Robinson, Bolles, or Ramczyk will be there at 28. I know two of them were in our mock, but OTs are too damn valuable and the weakness of the OL class only causes more of a desperation for the teams that don't have them. Three or more OTs in the Top 16 has become a pretty consistent thing in recent years, and while I don't think that's set to happen this year, I do think three will go before our pick. I also don't think Davis, Barnett, or Lamp (who I would also quite like) will be there.

Anyhow,

1. Watt
2. King
3. Bowser
4. Jackson
5. McDowell
6. Melifonwu
7. Harris
8. Charlton
9. Njoku
10. McKinley

Because we spent a 3rd round pick on a RT two years ago and signed a OT this off season. Drafting an OT at 28 will not make the team better and imagine the nightmare if Chaz straight beats him outl We'd have spent a 1st round pick on someone who may not play a snap in his rookie contract.

Laughing

Don't think Dallas has any designs on doing that.

Chaz Green has played in less games than Randy Gregory, ending the season on IR with hip and back surgeries in consecutive years. I would be pretty floored if he made it through 16 games as a starter. Byron Bell is ok I guess but not ideal either. I think Collins ends up over there after those situations flame out. None of those guys have more than 2 years left under team control nor genuinely proven competence in the system, and we saw with Free that no matter how good your LT, LG, C, and RG are, teams still can and will isolate a subpar RT with their best pass rushers.

I don't think we're going OT, seeing as we didn't bring anyone in for a visit and I think Robinson/Bolles/Ramczyk will all be gone, but to say we don't need one because of Chaz Green and Byron Bell is no different from saying we don't need a DE because of Irving and Mayowa, we don't need a safety because of Heath and Frazier, etc.

My updated top 10 at 28. Slight tweaking. Reddick will be taken earl, I believe. I have seen some that have Barnett sliding. . .

(1) John Ross - Ross is more valuable to our team than all other possible picks, because he can instantly start, AND bring an x-factor dimension to the offense. The fact he stretches the field is that much more valuable with Dez Bryant on the other side. He would also be our PR/KR.

(2) Jabril Peppers - Peppers would be our starting SS. I think he can develop into a Polamalu-type play-maker.

(3) Ryan Ramczyk - People wanna sleep on o-linemen again; the Cowboys will draft them, again. Replaces Free.

(4) Derek Barnett - I don't think he will make it to us, and he is not my top because I am weary about his measurables. If we had a chance at him and he was the guy on tape at the NFL level... WOW.

(5) Corey Davis - He will start over T. Will.

(6) Kevin King - I think he starts by season's end.

(7) Obi Melifonwu - He would start over Heath.

(8 ) Forrest Lamp - Either plays LG or RT, depending on whether they switch La'el to RT.

(9) Garett Bolles - Replaces Free.

(10) T.J. Watt - Starts at SLB and plays the EDGE on passing downs.
