I like it. Very least he is a stop gap for a rookie

Good signing. Still bummed to see the packers lose lang and sitton because I feel like interior OL ages better than most NFL positions besides QB, but an argument for another day.

However they age, Ted doesn't spend money on 3rd contracts for guards. He just doesn't, and it can be inferred that he sees it as a good place to save money. Since his arrival he has let: Mike Wahle, Marco Rivera, Darryn Colledge, Josh Sitton, and TJ Lang go rather than pay. I consider all of these guys plus players, and only when replacing Colledge there was a back-up in place (or people are really high on Lane Taylor). I do wonder if we will see the Raiders and Chiefs follow in that line of thinking.

Yes. I remember hearing how the Packers don't sign old offensive linemen. This is why they needed to let T.J. Lang go. So they could get someone younger.

Someone like Jahri Evans. Laughing
Wow, what a truly stupid post. Packers don'y pay for old guards. And by pay, I mean the overpriced contract Lang got from Detroit (no knock on Lang because I wish him all the best) and not the likely vet minimum Evans got from GB. GB didn't need to get younger because Lang was to old, GB needed to get younger at G because younger equals much cheaper. Signing a vet like Evans accomplishes the same thing.

I imagined him having a really good laugh at that comment and patting himself on the back.

So sad he was blatantly wrong Laughing

Somebody take the off season shovel out of Ted's hands & bury him in his own hole.

How can he dig a hole if he's too busy sitting on his hands?
