This is my last go round before Thursday night. I'm not going to predict any trades.

1. Haason Reddick, LB Temple 6'1" 237lbs 4.52 40-yd:

Quote:
Former walk-on corner turned linebacker. Good instincts, can play the ball but also fall back into coverage. Good speed to blitz. Would be an ideal WILL

2. Raekwon McMillan, LB Ohio State 6'2" 240lbs 4.61 40-yd:
Quote:
This kid is a thumper. Can play the running lanes but also possesses the ability to read the Quarterback. Would make a solid starting SAM.

3. Samaje Perine, RB Oklahoma 5'11" 233lbs 4.65 40-yd:

Quote:
Workhorse of a RB. He's not a shifty or speedy guy. He's a guy who will run you over on 1st and 2nd down. He's the big bruising back we've lacked for years.

4. DeMarcus Walker, DE/DT Florida State 6'4" 280lbs 18 reps:

Quote:
Biggest knock on this guy is his "inconsistent motor" and yet he produced some unbelievable numbers at FSU. He's a guy that would flourish on a team that will use him in a DL rotation with the possibility of playing some DT as well.

5. Brian Allen, CB Utah 6'3" 215lbs 4.48 40-yd:

Quote:
Former WR with incredible length. He's raw as a DB and needs some work on his tackling, but he's fast, long with great work ethic.

6. Devonte Fields, DE/OLB Louisville 6'2" 236 lb:

Quote:
I'm not going to lie, this is a boom or bust pick. Fields has had his ups and downs in college, but this late in the draft, I could see Quinn taking a flier on a guy with undeniable talent.

6. Jeremy Sprinkle, TE Arkansas 6'5" 252lbs:

Quote:
Getting suspended from his teams bowl game has dropped Sprinkle from a 4th/5th rd pick to the end of the 6th/early 7th. He's a solid blocker who can also catch. Needs to work on his routes.

7. Jerome Lane, WR Akron 6'2" 226lbs 4.6 40-yd:

Quote:
Former basketball player with good hands and size. Very raw as he's only been playing football for a couple years. He's good good strength against defenders but also exhibits tight hips.

Good mock. Like the 1st 3 picks although I'm not sure Lions double dip at LB. Possibility I suppose.

I like, not love, this mock. I don't see it happening.

Quinn has discussed not liking to have too many rookies on a unit. I don't think he'd invest the top two picks on LBs and have both of them starting, although I like that the mock is audacious in that way.

I'd prefer to use the second and third round picks to take advantage of the depth on the edge and in the defensive back field. I think quality power back like James Conner will be there in the 4th.

Might be unpopular, but I like Davis as much if not more than Reddick. I think both will be good pros.

Fair enough.

I played around with this mock after discussing in another thread that I would love to walk away with 2 LBs in this draft.

I do really like Davis, I just like Reddick's upside more. I wouldn't be upset with Davis @ #21.
