Looks like he finally realized that he isn't worth at all what he thought he was.

Always be fond of AD, but these last few years have been trying. It was time for him to leave.

Viking fans are supposed to get over what happened in NFCCG less than ten years ago, while many of those players and coaches are still with the team or in the league?

heck, we're not over an erroneous NFCCG non-penalty call that happened in a 1975 game with Dallas! the original Hail Mary Play!

Laughing

As I said in another post, I 100% get not being over it. This is what sports is about, petty hatred and never getting over your team's big losses. Laughing But the exact conversation happening in this thread happens in literally every thread that connects us two teams, and it's suuuuuper annoying. I know that it's not all Vikes fans and some do exactly this, but the ones that don't should just keep it to their own subforum and own thoughts. Not bring it up in every thread. And Saints fans should just learn to ignore it by now and let those that do it just wallow in their own salt. And then everyone could be civil. Laughing

Why doesn't AP just go back to Vikings for $3MM?

yet here you are talking about it instead of just ignoring it, which is your advice to others...

if you're going to ignore it, then ignore it.

Vikings want to move on and develop younger players for the future, we are told at least.

Kind of hope so, cuz honestly what is his role going to be? Just taking John Kuhn's TD vulture stuff?

I swear, Payton falls in love with a different RB every year like clockwork - it's like Jon Gruden with veteran QB's. And it's getting to the point where I feel bad for a guy that, from what I'd heard, Payton was the biggest advocate for when they first drafted him in Mark Ingram, because the guy just can't seem to be given a consistent run of carries even when he is productive with the carries he's given.

So how many yards does AD run for against his former team opening week on Monday night?

AP is a notoriously slow starter going into the season.

15 carries for 50 yards, 1 catch 6 yards

Odd fit for Peterson imo. Don't the Saints love to dump it off to the RBs? Isn't Peterson not much of a pass catcher? I wonder if the Saints will even make him their primary back.

Can you blame him? At least he's playing with a legitimate QB again.

Agreed. Once the best QB in division tore his ACL before the season started things got rough for him. Its hard to replace the GOAT Wink

Maybe New Orleans will trade Ingram if they think Peterson can carry the load.

Or maybe they're switching to a predominant run team to save Brees's arm and keep that defense on the sidelines.

I like it. You need two running backs in the NFL. Ingram is good but have AP as a 1-2 punch is legit

Latavius Murray and Jerick McKinnon. Probably draft a RB too.

He can drive to his hometown of Palestine Texas in 4-5 hours or hop a charter quick flight and be there in less then 40 minutes. Not bad if your him.
