nothing, he should be traded - if anything he's more of detriment to Wentz's development then anything.

You cry about drops like Stud #1 throughout NFL history don't due the same? TO ring a bell? Matthews has caught 64% of his passes (on avg over 3 yrs) from what 5/6 different QB? Owens had 2 singular seasons in his 15 yr HOF career where he caught 64% or higher, (2)!!!!! 11 seasons at 60% or lower???

Matthews last 3 season's 65%, 67% and 62%

Higher % then

Andre Johnson 3 yrs out of 14 64% or higher
Dez Bryant 2 yrs out of 7 64% or higher
AJ Green 2 yrs out of 6 64% or higher
OBJ 1 yr (rookie) last two 60% and 59%

You guys whining about his hands remind me of when everyone complained about Jeremy Maclin coming off the Atlanta loss. Making his in opportune drop at the wrong time, losing us the gm detract from his overall ability as a WR. Boo whooo whoo , he hasn't had a 1,000 yd season. You guys are on crack wanting to run him out of town IMO because unlike every WR above this will be the first time barring Injury Matthews will have the SAME QB throwing him the ball in consecutive years!! That can't be emphasized enough. Let alone having a Legit #1WR tacking coverages away "from him"

I'll say this again like I did with Maclin last year as a Eagle. If Wentz, Matthews and Alshon stay healthy for 16 GM's

Jordan Matthews will put up

75-80 rec, 1300 yds and 10+ TD Mark it Down!!!

Matthews' catch rate is undoubtedly helped by the fact that he has played pretty much exclusively in the slot over the course of his career. He runs routes at shallower depth which are far easier for the QB to complete and also catch.

You can't compare Matthews catch rate to the catch rate of outside receivers.

He should be compared to slot receivers.

Let's take divisional rival Cowboys' slot for instance.

Cole Beasley's last 3 seasons are 76%, 69% (nice), and 73%.

What about Jamison Crowder of Washington?

68% and 76%

Matthews catch rate for a slot receiver actually isn't all that great.

How important catch rate is also up for debate anyways.

yeah jordan never faces a teams best corner. Comparing his stats to actual people that dont suck and get double team coverage isnt fair at all.

So Jordan Matthews is better than TO and this season his YPC will jump a whopping 5-6 yards above his career average.

yes, let's compare Matthews to receivers who go up against top flight cornerbacks throughout the season. Let's ignore the fact that Matthews is going up against corners like Ron Brooks throughout the season and still has a terrible catch rate.

Connor Williams has allowed one sack in two seasons...

It came on a QB scramble.

Replying to @nfldraftscout

Just peeked at a few games and he is outstanding. So smooth, balanced and strong. Natural blocker. Technique is so sound.

Glad to see him getting some early buzz.

So excited to see how he looks this year.

I think he realized the ridiculousness of his statement and is just gonna hold the L there.

By his account Matthews is a more reliable WR than Mike Evans and quite a few other top tier WR's.

I'm cool with Courtland Sutton in round 1
Hopefully Shelton Gibson ends up being our Stefon Diggs, but the WR situation is cloudy after this year.

Apologies guys, I rarely visit this thread.

As for JM. My point still stands. Your guys overreaction to his hands IMO has more to do with his inopportune timed "drops" then overall %. Just like the BS bashing of Maclin in the past despite making numerous toe tap catches extending drive, converting 3rd downs and scoring TD. I'm Standing by....

1300+ ,10TD if Wentz, AJ and JM are Healthy for 16gms.

I hope JM starts losing playing time to Shelton Gibson as the year goes on. I like Gibson and think he'll be a good player for the eagles.

It's way too early for this but getting an OT in round 1 and landing either Chubb or Freeman in round 2 would make me happy. Those two backs are my favorite players in college football, I'm excited to see what they can do.

We don't have a 2nd round pick, which why we gotta go RB in the 1st. We can take an OT in the 3rd.

Embarassed Gonna go back to my cave and just pray one of these backs make it to the 3rd.
