Decides to call it quits after providing depth with the Vikings last year...

He looked so good early in his career, only to have it derailed with injuries. I was quite shocked by his continued regression after leaving us - thought he would find a spot elsewhere maybe. But injuries definitely took a toll.... he suffered from multiple torn ACLs, and has only played in 10 games since 2013.
Enjoy retirement and good luck, Jake. _________________ With much cheese,

His first couple seasons were fun to watch. Nasty, mauling LT. Then his ligaments started snapping left and right. _________________

Provided depth for the Vikings?
Yeah, on our huge IR List. He was great depth there after playing like 2 games. _________________

If he did it, he was never caught for it. _________________ With much cheese,

He looked a little rusty his first couple of games with the Vikes, but improved with each one. Actually looked pretty good his final game, right before getting injured in the 4th quarter.
What a season. |

It's a crying shame what injures did to his initially promising career.
Happy retirement, Jake. _________________

Was only here for a season with Atlanta but everyone liked him and he was a respected falcon player in the locker room. No bad words from me about this man and im glad he made a stop here and i could cheer for him. He provided better than avg depth when called upon from him. _________________

To bad to see this. Guy had lots of talent. Sad what injuries did to him. _________________ I bought one of those tapes to teach you Spanish in your sleep. During the night, the tape skipped. Now I can only stutter in Spanish.

Long was a good player before injuries ruined him, but taking him first overall was a mistake then and still is. |

Throwing an unprepared rookie QB behind a garbage offensive line with no weapons would have ruined him. _________________

Sounds like a Clev browns strategy.

He was legitimately broken as a Ram.
Honestly I think he would've been one of the best LT to ever play the game...... if he wasn't made of glass. _________________ With much cheese,
