Do we think he falls into the late first round now? If so, we should definitely figure out a way to package next year's first + to get him.

No we shouldnt guy is a walking disaster.

I wouldn't doubt he's probably smoked herb...but playing DA:

Could he have been adding water weight trying to gain weight for the combine? Would that have diluted the sample?

I mean Fournette went to the combine heavier than expected, he says it was water weight.

The last thing I want is him falling to the end of the first and a playoff team picks him up over some herb.

Well over some herb.

Over serious shoulder health questions

Over him being rude to hosptial staff

and apparently interviewing terribly from the rumors as well.

I doubt he is on a lot of teams boards at this point.

I went back 2 years and checked how Christian Mccaffery fared against top-20 defenses (because that's what he'll be going against on the NFL level).

He only faced 3 top-20 defenses in 2 years, but didn't break 100 yards rushing in any of those games... All 3 we're team losses, including a 49 yard stinker against Washington.

Also... Most of his huge games have come from 25-35 touches... Which won't happen in the pros

Eagles shouldn't even touch McCaffery

I hope all the nfc south teams being interested rumors are true. I hope it's a not a choice Howie has to even make.

What if we make him a full time WR? Good route runner. Serious yac. Good speed. Good size. No character concerns. Seems to have good hands. 37.5" vert...
Maybe RB isn't his best position.

Except he came in almost 11 lbs lighter than people expected. Lots of places had him listed at 240 and he weighed in at 229.

I'm warming up to Conley at 14.

I would use him like Harvin.. At KR, PR, Slot, HB, motioning out from the back field and go 5 wide with Ertz, Jeffery, Matthews, Smith or Rookie, and Burton.. Plus him and Sproles with him in the backfield or in the slot the misdirections roll outs and Mathews, Jeffrey, and Ertz/Smith.. Him getting touches at PR/KR and some zone stretch looks, some screens, and let him motion out of the back field let Carson read the coverage and see a matchup he likes against McCaffery.. Would like even more if we signed Blount plus that would make sure we stay away from Cook. I like McCafferys potential he just has that it factor to me..

That's what I like to hear.

He might not make it to us though if the buzz in the media right now is accurate.

So, I just listened to a podcast and Michael Lombardi said that John Ross' medicals are atrocious for some teams and maybe not for others.

Not sure if that means the medical re-check didn't go well or if he's just talking about teams are scared by his injury history?

Either way, I'm not a John Ross at 14 guy despite liking him as a player and a person.

John Ross' injury history was made very apparent a long time ago, not sure why anyone would be surprised by a guy who has had multiple surgeries medical to come back looking good.

I found a little relief in knowing they worked out Cameron Johnston P Ohio St, Donnie Jones can't punt forever.

Johnston 46.7 punting avg. Aussie punter

Wasn't surprised he had a youtube highlight clip, 30mins long I was surprised about though.

The same guy that all he had to do was punt the ball and drastically [inappropriate/removed] up vs michigan 2 years ago lol
