I'm leaning to Qualls, but Hodges is awfully tempting!!

Went with Qualls here, but drafting what many consider the best CB in the draft in the 3rd round is super tempting. But I just don't see us drafting another high profile player with Achilles issues. We already have enough on our team (Doctson, Gallete, Hall...).

Knight you put Buddha baker twice. To the jags then right after our pick. If he's not picked by the jags he would have definitely been my choice last vote. Lol but just wondering which player you mixed up

Elija Qualls is a NO Doubter if he's available for us in round 3. I think he's more than just a run stuffer. He can also play some 3-tech on top of being a zero or 1 tech.

The dude did a YouTube of him doing a back flip at 315 or whatever pounds. That is just amazing. His athleticism for a man his size is off the charts, he's got some quickness to him, he's a high effort guy and he's strong. I honestly don't understand why he doesn't have a 1st round grade - other than he's built like a true NT and teams today are looking for someone who can play NT and rush the passer and scouts claim he put on bad weight - but again, I think he can get in a little better shape and be a reliable run stuffer and pass rusher for us at 1 tech, day 1. He certainly has flashed that he can. If he falls to us at round 3, we should be doing back springs with the card up to hand it in with a double back finish like Simone Biles! Laughing

Quote:
Despite missing three games with ankle injuries, Pac-12 coaches thought enough of his 2016 play to vote him first-team all-conference (38 tackles, five for loss, three sacks) as the Huskies won the league crown and gained a college football playoff berth. Scouts appreciated Qualls' effort in the semifinal against Alabama, where he played almost exclusively as a stand-up edge rusher despite his 300-plus-pound frame.

I'll take the Jags 2018 2nd rounder. That might end up being around 36-40 I would think.

make the trade with the Jags. We need picks to trade when Cousins either gets traded this year or walks next year to move up and draft our quarterback

I would have offered our number 2 this year if we could have gotten a number 1 too.

In real situation, I take this all day. A future draft pick in the top 50 from any team that has a long and storied history of being there, is more predictable than me taking a dump everyday.

But, in ernst of the draft, you must take the pure NT here. Elijah Qualls.

Yeah, sorry, I had to update based on team needs and what I hear of interest.

When I published, your post immediately came to mind, like DOH! MKnight might get bamboozled here.

Jags trade. Picking up an additional 2nd next year and drop a full round. I think there is enough talent to trade down and pick up the extra picm next year. I do not believe any of the prospects available are day 1 starters. Therefore I vote for the Jags trade.

On a side note, we could just draft Caleb Brantley... The Browns (#52) and the Rams (#37) already did, so we should as well. Wink

81st for a future 40th and a 5th? Definitely the trade.

If not, Qualls.
