Man, Rapsheet on NFLN saying the Jets are looking to move up to 33 to take a QB. That would be truly horrific.

Words couldn't even describe it. The Jets would probably take Kizer to complete their stable of all tools, no skills QB roster.

I thought the Jets liked Davis Webb?

Guess all the faith that they had in Hack evaporated pretty quick. Probably when they realized it was Christian Hackenberg.

No it wouldn't.

I want less competition for 2018.

Wouldn't you want them to draft someone who would help them win now, then?

I think he wants one less team vying for a QB in the first next year. Which is silly because the Jets seem to prefer second round QBs lately.

[qIts not just drafting QBs (in general I actually applaud the Jets approach, not nearly enough teams go hard enough after a QB, you need to keep going until you find one). The problem is trading up when your roster is now one of the weakest in the league. The problem is burning second round picks, which turn into superstars at other positions fairly frequently. If the Jets burned a 4th on a QB like they did with Petty, that is fine. Overdrafting someone in the second ala Hackenburg, less so.

Sheldon Richardson for a 3rd round pick. Who wants him?

Id give our 4th considering it comes with an $8 million dollar price tag.

Jets foolishly played Richardson out of position the past 2 years as an OLB. Sheldon is a stud when playing the 34DE or 43DT. 3rd round is a steal. Who else?

DEN would probably give their 4th. Richardson is also one test away from being suspended 10+ games, right? And everyone knows he's going to the highest bidder after 2017, so it's a one-year rental. If it was just about talent, no one would argue - but it's not just about talent, but risk.

I get why NYJ wants to get the highest price, but there's a reason he hasn't been traded yet. The talent is tantalizing, but man, the flags are there.

I would offer a 2018 conditional 7th round pick to find out how desperate they are to trade him.

They've built a very messy quarterback stable and it's not getting fixed by drafting another project. With dire needs elsewhere, they'd be smart to just focus on getting good players this year.

Bucs trying to swap with the Pack as well. I'm guessing for Cook.

If it stops us from trading up, please do it.
