King or White. You don't compete in the North without at least two shutdown CBs (or the best QB in the league). One of King/White gives Detroit their Rhodes/Waynes.

Though that might be the case, individually, that might be the worst thing for him. To be home with all of his boys and family, already having maturity issues and now money? Eeek...
McDowell isn't perfect but his issues are overblown. Supposedly he's a cancer because he doesnt try hard in practice. No one can argue he doesn't try hard in games because we get to see him try hard in games. The MSU staff is leaking bad info about McDowell to make themselves look better. They couldn't field 11 competent players or teach them their defense and refused to adjust the scheme to fit the players. That isn't McDowells fault. If anything he showed he was being a good team player when he played freaking nose tackle for them when they couldn't find anyone else to do it. Instead of taking the blame and putting their jobs at risk, the people at MSU are just anonymously saying that their star player was really an out of control deviant that ruined everything. In reality, they failed at their job and probably got upset when he didn't fall in line with their crap. Narduzzi was the guy that was behind the success at MSU, there wasn't much concern about McDowell until after he left. Surrounding McDowell with coaches like Jim Caldwell, Teryl Austin, and Kris Kocurek would be good for him. The biggest issue with him is his willingness to compete for a spot. He only went to MSU because he was guaranteed playing time. NFL teams just need to make sure he understands that everything is earned in the NFL and that he wont be given a starting job.

Lol, I wondered why you were all of a sudden a Malik fan. But this sounds about as false as the claims you are claiming leaked from MSU staff members.

Huh? The NFCN ain't exactly a QB or WR powerhouse. I don't think the Lions are terrified of Glennon or Bradford, so really you're just trying to say that you can't finish ahead of the Packers unless you have two shutdown corners. Even if we pretend the 2 games the Lions play the Packers will alone determine who wins the division, a good pass rush to get after Rodgers is much more important than having one more good corner.

Lions are gonna regret passing up TJ Watt, Jabrill Peppers or Obi Melifonwu.

TJ Watt specially: he fits beautifully there, value is right, he is imo the most likely-to-be a blue chip player available (along Jabrill), and they don't want to see him as a Packer.

what do you mean "all of a sudden" a Malik fan? He's been a great player his entire time at MSU and I have always maintained that.

Also, where do you think the stories about his supposed actions during a closed practice come from?

TJ Watt is the edge player that I'd want over Taco Charlton. John Ross would be my second choice; he'd be fun to watch with Stafford, but WR isn't as big a need.

McDowell is simply the best player on the board. Not a fan of Charlton at all.

I don't believe McDowell. The off field issues are too serious. I doubt he goes first round. Some teams will not have him on the board at all.

Jarrad Davis fills a huge void for detroit here. Really impressed with his athleticism and overall physical profile. He's a 1st round pick all day and wont be available at detroits next pick.

Love him but he's too light to fit the Lions thresholds. He would be a pretty extreme outlier

He would be a great fit, but with McDowell still on the board you have to take him. Only McDowell and Wormley are ideal fits for the DE/DT role for the Lions, and this is their only chance to grab one of them. They can still get a solid LB that fits their thresholds in round 2.

They desperately need a LB. Either Cunningham or Davis
