I'm very reluctant to say a small-school guard is a sure bet.
Ali Marpet

He gets a lot of holding calls though but that's just me being picky. Honestly interior OL aren't that crazy scouting and I do like Lamp more then Marpet on film. That said I think if that's the card we turned in you'd see Jay backstage pulling a Shooter McGavin grabbing the card from Goddell and running away with it lol

I agree about a guard a chubby lol

Where does he play for us - outside or inside LB? A projection at inside?

And does he start beating out Kerrigan or Gallette on the outside or Compton, that buffalo dude or foster?

I'm glad it's a defensive pick and I'm hoping for some Marino or sapp rumors
To get us a Rueben

In all my years on this board. Ive never seen anyone be right.
So. No Col Sanders, youre wrong.

You gotta pick a guy somewhere between your "I can see it happening but dont think so" and your "Ill doubt theyll go that direction" groups to be right. Laughing

My fear is that the FO believes we are set at the ILB position with what the FO believes are solid starters and solid depth behind them. I have a bad feeling we'd pass over Reddick if he was there at 17 and reach for a position of greater need (in the FO's mind).

Im glad the board is wrong. Smile

Which of these two guys do you pick? I know Turtle will like this because we can project out from 11 to 14 games for the difference between player A and B Smile

A B
Height 6-2 6-1
Weight 250 237
Forty 4.59 4.52
Arm Length 34 32
Tackles solo 50 43
TFL 18 22.5
Sacks 10 10.5
Pass Breakups 6 3
Forced Fumbles 3 3
2016 Games 11 14

Player A played in the second or third toughest football conference and Player B played in the sixth to eighth toughest according to ESPN, Athlon and SB Nation ranking metrics.

Both players finished their senior season playing OLB. Player A was a more traditional OLB (frequently dropped into pass coverage) while Player B was a rush OLB rarely dropping into coverage.

We can get player A probably at 30 and player B may be gone before we pick anyway.

Hint- Player A plays in the Pac 12
Player B in the AAC

Player A- Tank McKinley (we used to have a Tank McClinton) Smile
Player B- Hasson Reddick

Tank McKinley is going to play 3-4 OLB and Reddick is going to play ILB. In a 4-3 though they both may play SLB so, in that way they could be similar but I think they play different positions in a 3-4.

I picked what I thought they would pick given the talent available.

I just question whether Reddick will be available at 17.
