What?

Quote:
In an unexpected and bizarrely timed announcement, Owa Odighizuwa has revealed he’ll be taking some time away from the game of football. He provided no additional details and did not announce when or if he’ll ever return.

Interesting news, whatever's going on I wish him all the best at this time.

Wanted Minnesota to get him in the draft to pair with UCLA talent we had with Barr and then Kendricks.

I think we ended up with Hunter instead. Not bad!

I hope Owa is okay.

He seemed to have a lot problems - whether it be about health or otherwise - since he got drafted. I rated him absurdly high in his draft class. Hope he figures things out.

I don't know why he's retiring but whatever made him retire I hope it works out for him.

Stepping away this early has to hurt his hall of fame chances. Maybe the decision stemmed from all the concussion news of the past few years? We've seen an increase in younger players walking away early.

This is really strange, especially since when Giants beat writers reached those who would know about it, they said there was no prior indication at all that something was up. He's offered no clarification either. I know he's had some health problems, but he was pretty fine this past year.

Come August he will tweet, "After great life reflection, I have decided to come back to football and resume my career as a New York Giant." Genius.
