I will post an option of players to pick for each round. State your preference for what player to pick and certainly feel free to offer why/why not. I will try to post a new round each day.

Round 1
Taco Charlton DE
Charles Harris OLB
Tak McKinley OLB
Tim Williams OLB
Tre’davious White CB
Teez Tabor CB
Chidobe Awuzie CB
Kevin King CB
Obi Melifonwu S
Garrett Bolles OT
Forrest Lamp OG
David Njoku TE
Evan Engram TE

Wanted to leave a good group of options at some positions of need and some other choices.

I went with Harris. Very likely that he is not there, but in this situation, I feel he is the best option.

If Harris were not available, Lamp, or one of the CB would be the likely pick, but those 2 TE are very tempting as well.

I think GB is as well. But either of those 2 TE would be a very nice pairing with Bennett.

Brick wall

Any tight end we draft this year, even if it's Howard, isn't seeing the field without Bennett or Kendricks getting hurt, and maybe not even then. Don't know why all the proof I've provided of tight ends taking years to develop is so easily ignored here. Amplify that by how long it takes for a receiver or tight end to learn our specific offense and it makes it even worse.

Bottom line... If we take a tight end in the first round or any round this year, they're not going to do anything for us this year. Why would you do that with a position you just went out and signed two good players at?

Well....if you had read the post, I did not take the TE!!!!

Let me help you out and see if you can comprehend it better this time

Yuck, that's a worst case scenario board there. I'd take Obi.

Do you not like the actual players? or is it players and the positions?

That would be a trade down board most likely, but in this MOCK, it make a pick from the players on the board.

Obi and King are the only first round graded non TEs left on that board for me. I'm really hoping one of Conley, Watt, Humphrey, McCaffrey, Barnett falls.

If Tyus Bowser, Watt, or Jordan Willis are still there I like those guys better than all the edges listed. I think King is the "if all else fails" pick, though I'd be tempted by Lamp or Bolles as BPA here (though both should be long gone by 29.)

I'm new here. What's wrong with Lamp?

He's a guard.

Gareon Conley
Kevin King
Marlon Humphrey
TJ Watt
Charles Harris

AND Tim Williams if the staff is comfortable with the off the field stuff (wouldn't be surprised if they aren't).

If we stay put at #29, I'm about 80% sure that 1 of those 6 players will be our selection.

Charles Harris with that board. He just had an awesome Pro Day after an underwhelming NFL Combine.

A number of reasons being a guard is a good thing.

Lamp is the pick.

Thanks for the offer to help with the reading comprehension, but comprendé just fine, amigo. You see, I was responding directly to the part of your quote where you said a tight end would be a nice pairing with Bennett. I went on to mention that a rookie tight end wouldn't be pairing with Bennett unless Kendricks got hurt because they wouldn't. So... Comprehend that. Wink

I want Ted to draft Taco Charlton it's been a while since we had a guy on our team named Taco. We have to keep to Taco tradition going Taco Wallace, Taco Charlton.
