Schefter

Bears QB depth chart will be something like this: Mike Glennon, Mark Sanchez, David Fales, Connor Shaw. Hard to imagine them going QB early.

None of those names keep them from going QB early. All but glennon are on 1-year deals. And glennons is essentially 1-year anyway.

I'm not expecting them to go QB at 3, but this doesn't prevent them from doing anything.

I guess my main problem with this is that Sanchez is done. He isn't even a backup anymore, he is a 3rd string, never put on a uniform guy now.

I am fine with it, if a high upside rookie is added.

But Glennon, Sanchez and Shaw/Late around Rookie is a garbage QB room.

Rex Grossman 2.0.

At least we didn't waste a draft pick on him.

Sanchez won't be expected to play a single regular season snap unless Glennon and possibly a rookie draft pick are injured. Don't sweat it. This move has the significance of a camp fodder signing.

Whilst i pray that you are right, even in Windy's best case scenario, i still feel a sense of dread.Just hope the football gods look favourably on us at draft time.

The optimist in me thinks this was done with the idea of drafting a QB high.

The pessimist in me thinks the Bears are done addressing the QB position.

Someone on the score just mentioned that in paces time in NO, they had 53 total draft picks. Only 1 was spent on a QB - Sean Canfield, 2010, 7th round.

Granted, pace wasn't calling the shots and they had Brees there. But still, that's not great for a guy saying we should draft one every year.

They had a decent QB when he got there in Aaron Brooks and then they fell into a HOF QB.

I would be lying if I said I was not worried.

Ryan Pace never really worked the college scouting department while at New Orleans. He was always on the Pro side.

Glennon and Sanchez are SO God damned uninspiring... I would HAVE to think QB is the move at #3, no? I mean that's the shot of life that our franchise desperately needs and you've got a program-lifting National Champion sitting there staring you in the face.
