Very much addresses Kick off return and adds value to the RB depth chart, even if he is 3rd string his special teams value brings more to the roster than other backs. Hopefully at the age of 25 he can develop some more with our Oline, QB and RBs.

Quality signing. We definitely needed someone to help with kickoffs!

I'd imagine he gets the axe if he doesn't win the KR job.

I text my Chiefs fan friend and he replied, "there's not much he does well wxcept run fast in a straight line." Sounds promising.

Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy
That explains how I feel about this signing. This guy was my favorite RB in his draft class. 5'11 227 and runs a 4.3 Wink He isn't a shifty guy but has gears to get from 0-60 before you can blink an eye. also is an effective receiver out of the backfield. Doubles down as KR and is really good there. His weakness is fumbles. Needs to continue to work on that issue. Love the signing!

Would it be in poor taste to throw a Butterfinger at him for every time he makes a mistake on the field?

Hahahahaha.

Jones' only chance is to go to Tenn. Otherwise he is flipping burgers this fall.

Similar to Davis' fumbling problem? um... yeah, I'll go with that.

I had hoped we'd bring him back all offseason. With this move I wonder if we're officially moving on.

I think this move is purely competition for Fitz and not an indication of feeling set at RB.

I think their intentions are to find one in the draft, and if that doesnt work out, find a vet like DWill who will most likely still be available.

Fitz failed as a ST/return man and that was about the only thing his spot on the roster did last season. Other than that, he was a dime a dozen running back. I think they look for a more talented runner in the draft as the #2 behind Bell and let Fitz battle for the third spot - or get cut and just be a phone call away.

Don't see how by any means, this says D Will won't be back. This to me, is the 53rd man Tomlin likes to keep as a ST return guy and as others have said a potential 3rd RB to compete with Fitz.

I agree with both of your statements. I hope it's more about fitz then D Will. I have a feeling we'll wait until Preseason to have knowledge about the situation. Who knows what we land in the draft..... Bell isn't locked up long term. Not saying Neither side wants to part. But nothing is promised after the up coming season
